Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner: I'm Only 31; How Can I Be Past My Prime?

Adrien Broner believes he has a lot of championship-caliber boxing left in him. The polarizing Broner has been a pro for nearly 13 years and has almost 40 fights on his record. The Cincinnati native is still just 31, however, and feels as though he remains in his physical prime.

Broner never had a prime. He was too arrogant. He probably had 2 losses before Maidana humbled him

Physically in his prime but mentally finished now. He can't fight the addiction of believing he's a playa rather than a professional athlete. Could've been a great at lighter weights.

Tyson, Trinidad, Benitez, Fernando Vargas, all examples of fighters better than Broner who were clearly past their prime younger than 31.

Maybe he would be motivated now, I mean he has like 4m debt that he owe and needs to pay off to the people that he assaulted in the past. I know its never a good thing to fight because you owe money, but he yung doe and it's not like he's been thrown in against a shark, like Joe Louis was at 37 against a 28 year old Rocky Marciano to pay off the taxman.

Lotsa mfers are past prime at 31. Most everyone is past prime at 33 except a handful of legend level type guys & some HW's.
