I always felt Murray but a world title ultimately eluded him.

It’s criminal none of those fought btw.
Barker was probably my favourite - excellent all rounder and real nice chap to boot - but all 4 were good in different ways, Lee with his length and southpaw power, Mack the rough and tumble battler, Martin conservative and solid - the most consistent of the 4 but also without that little extra something that could ever really get him a top class win.

If they were to fight 10 times each I'd say most likely Martin would come out with the most wins but I'd also give him least chance of beating a real top class talent if that makes any sense? Dude just doesn't have that extra gear or the power as an equaliser.

Think about what happened with Sturm for instance... yeah I know Martin got the D but I thought he was lucky to do so whereas Macklin did deserve the W. Yet I'd probably have made Martin a slight favourite to beat Matt at any point in the early 2010s.

I honestly though NDNJ won almost every round he didn't get knocked down in. Had he not taken those last coupla KDs in the 12th I wouldn't have had a problem with a draw or even a super close N'Dam win in that bout.

Murray vs Macklin and Lee vs Macklin were the two fights I really wanted to see.

Barker beating Geale was a great night as was Lee stopping Korobov.

Felt both were unlucky not to get the nod in Germany especially Macklin, I also thought Murray beat Martinez. 114-113 with the KD. Martinez was a faded force at that point though tbf.
