He was very much on a par with the likes of Murray and Macklin (and Barker although GGG didn't fight him) I'd say, although he did have a real nice hook. Main thing was he was just a lot more highly regarded in the US cos of the Manny Steward connection.

Mmmm. Probably woulda picked Geale to beat him if they'd fought back in 13/14 too. All those dudes were much on a level.

Thing is he had power, guys like Murray, Macklin, Wade, Geale did not

I don’t think there’s much between Lemieux, Lee and Quillin tbh.

All won world titles but failed to trouble the elite guys in the division like GGG, Jacobs etc.

Who do you think was the best of the 4?

I always felt Murray but a world title ultimately eluded him.

It’s criminal none of those fought btw.

Lemieux can't slip a jab though and is short, that's his problem. Tailor made for GGG and he knew it.

Canelo knocks him out in the mid rounds. Quillin isn't mentally tough enough

Head movement wasn’t exactly Quillin’s forte either though.

I don’t see him giving GGG or Canelo any problems tbh man.

Hassan N'Dam won five rounds against a prime Quillin.

Peter Quillin was not that good. That’s why GGG fans were obsessed with him fighting GGG. Couldn’t care less about this fantasy match. Canelo fought the better fighter anyway, the guy who crushed Quillin and arguably beat GGG, Daniel Jacobs.
