I think the only improvements Canelo has made are to his tacos. Know what I mean? Know what I mean? A little clenburthol here, a little clenburthol there. See what I'm getting at? He's on steroids.

Seriously. I haven't seen much improvement from Canelo at all. A guy with his cement feet coupled with his short and stocky build? Charlo and Andrade are serious threats to him. But I think Canelo will most likely smash BJS, that's easy work for him.

And yet he is still widely recognized as P4P number one over Crawford.

I think it's bull****. He has carefully handpicked his opponents by intentionally fighting guys who can punch hard, which doesn't phase him the way guys who can move do, like Lara and Floyd. GGG, Kovalev, Smith, and even Jacobs, are slow and plodding compared to Floyd and Lara. These guys are tailor made to make Canelo look fast and slick. I don't believe the smoke and mirrors.

For you Canelo fans, I will admit this - Billy Hoe, who I can't stand, is better at fighting off the back foot and moves around the ring better than other recent Canelo opponents. Not as good as Floyd and Lara, but better than all those other guys.

So this will be a good test to see if he's improved. Can't just win though, has to be a dominating performance. Gotta show that he's really learned how to cut off the ring.

If Canelo dominates this fight I will admit that he's improved. A close decision won't work, BJS isn't as good a fighter as Lara, so he's gotta dominate.

jeez dude, you are NOT off to a good start here on boxingscene

it is CLEARLY obvious that Canelo has significantly improved since Mayweather

          oh my god... how ?

that is likely the least competitive of all the options for Canelo

Charlo would be better than Andrade

Benavidez and Saunders are better than both

If that was the case then, being that you are a Floyd cum guzzler you should love Canelo for roiding because it’s a known and proven fact he juiced for a lot of his career.

Charlos best win was against Deryev with many losses when Charlo the bigger man was allowed to rehydrate without any Ibf rules like Jacobs who beat a prime Undefeated Deryev,& he abided by the IBF rehydration rule.

Bottom line is that you can't pretend the guys Canelo faced warent considered the most dangerous champs on paper when Canelo faced them.(relative to his career trajectory,as in for where Canelo is resume, career wise he has been facing the best resume champs available in Ggg twice, prime champ Jacobs,& Prime lineal Smith. Those fights were all the lineal #1 vs #2 fighters at time fight was signed.

Puncher boxers like Ggg,Kov,& Jacobs were all considered dangerous bigger guys that can put your lights out with heavy hands & Jacobs had almost 100% ko percentage few fights before.

You're crazy to think fighters prefer powerful sharks over pattycake gezibels like Plant
Don't put words into my mouth, you shouldn't have to pretend I said things I didn't to win an argument. I said Jacobs is slow and plodding COMPARED TO LARA AND FLOYD

Yeah, nobody says otherwise, but that doesn't bother Canelo. He can take a punch and rolls with punches well. Trust me, he is much more terrified of an Erislandy Lara than GGG.

Exactly. He looks like a bodybuilder now instead of the skinny kid who fought Floyd, whiich I guess being bigger and stronger helps you take a punch better which is why Jose Miguel Cotto was able to buzz him but not GGG or Kovalev. But all that muscle doesn't help your skill at all. If he fought Lara again today, IDK how much different it would be from the first fight.

You can call me all sorts of names you want, but you still can't argue with me on the facts which is telling.

I already explained to you in my original post how Canelo does well with big punches. Does well with guys who come forward. What he can't deal with is guys who fight off the back foot, are defensively sound, and force you to cut off the ring.

Name 1 fight where he's proved that this has changed since Lara/Floyd?
