B, would of been B - if that was option.

Big Puncher, great Jab and all round technical ability. It was also a myth that he would just crumble under pressure, only Mike Tyson 'Pretty is the only fighter to blast him away'.

He pushed Lennox Lewis, and was beating both Bone Crusher Smith and Tim Witherspoon before the stoppages 'Both those fights were really high paced and brutal'.

Later on on his career, he become to muscle-bound which affected his stamina.

The Bruno that fought Lewis was at his functional limit 'He was too muscle bound vs McCall nevertheless, still got the job done etc

He was a nice guy, looked the part, and had a big punch and some exciting knockouts. It's not hard to see why he was so popular in the UK. That said, he never beat a truly great fighter, though he did beat a couple of decent guys on his way. His losses aren't really so bad though, obviously there's no disgrace losing to Tyson or Lewis, and his only other two losses are to Witherspoon and Bonecrusher Smith, who were both fairly good fighters in their own right. B seems like a fair assessment of his career all things considered, I'd say he had an above-average career overall.

He managed to pick up a strap, had decent power and some skill which allowed him to be a top 10 heavyweight for part of the 80s and early 90s but nothing more than that. I don't think he would pick up a heavyweight strap in the 60s, 70s, late 90s though. I would rate him lower but he was competitive against top level competition for a while.

I'd call him an A or B+, just under the top guys level. One of the best English HWs ever, and probably would do damn fine in today's era or the Klitchsko era.

                Bruno vs other heavyweight champs:
James "Bonecrusher" Smith - KO L
                Tim Witherspoon - TKO L
                Mike Tyson - TKO L
                Lennox Lewis - TKO L
                Oliver McCall - UD W
                Mike Tyson - TKO L

His best win was against a McCall who was suffering from severe addiction and mental health issues. Every other champ he faced stopped him.

                C+ at best.

C+/B-, but nonetheless a nice guy and very fan-friendly fighter.

Personally I hold being a fan-friendly fighter in much higher regard than being a world champion.

I gave him a B+ also. I think he’d have become a champion far easier in today’s era.

Similar to AJ in terms of attributes.
