Make no mistake about it: Benavidez is the best fighter in the division after Canelo beat Smith. He would definitely take care of business with either or both Saunders and Plant. Canelo may very well have decided to unify the day Benavidez lost the title on the scales.

Like I said Benavidez is his own worst enemy, but would still like to see them fight, because they're both at the top of the 168 pound division.

On the outside looking in and whose fault is it.
He is now calling everyone one out and their dog looking for a break.
Hoping he has cleaned up his act with his self destructive ways cos he is just too talented.
Without a belt ( and leverage) he is just too much risk and low reward for most of the elites in the division to want to fight him.
Hopefully he catches a break somehow!!!

This is all financial business for Plant
He has that new wife and came up without much! This is how you rewrite history, my life isn’t what history says it should be. A Canelo fight will set him up well and even with a loss he can ride into the sunset, possibly fight a couple more times for 6 figures and call it a career without fighting a beast in Benavidez who will be dangerous for all if he can comfortably make weight.
