If Smith hadn't just been similarly beaten by Ryder his last time out I may be more inclined to believe him. This fight was definitely Canelo's clearest decision win in a big fight that I've seen. But again it wasn't much better than what Ryder did vs Smith.

A lot of guys give Canelo a close fight right now. Some of them probably beat him on many/most people's cards. Whether you can beat him officially is another matter.

If Canelo can move up to fight a broken ti pieces Kovalev, can do for Beterbiev. He won't because Beterbiev will stop him dirty.

Benavidez, Hurd at 160, Spence at 160, and Bivol all have great chances to beat Canelo too.

Spence isn't exactly a native welter, he's very big for the weight and fought at higher weights in the amateurs and pro ranks. Honestly, making 160 will be easy for him. Hurd is a megladon at his weight, 160 is literally zero problem. Hurd isn't like super awesome, but he's big and comes to fight. He'll give Canelo big problems.

He's not going to fight a real threat, that's just the facts.

Instead of fighting a real threat and make a great fight for the fans, he's fighting Yildirim. A guy who lost his last fight to the bad Dirrell and got stopped by Eubank. I mean, come on guys. This is insane to support something like this.
So aside from Beterbiev who clearly his only advantage is him being bigger and nothing else. Please explain why is Canelo losing to Andrade, Saunders and Jermall Charlo?

What makes you think that 2 guys in Andrade and Saunders who have been feasting on nothing but cans their whole careers. And who’ve never faced a top opponent they’ll all of a sudden beat the #1 P4P guy in Canelo.

And Charlo, another guy who has also been feasting on cans his whole career. Who just took his first step “up fight” in a guy who not only is coming of a loss but also a knock down and a war. Who already ducked a fight with Canelo at MW. Is not only gonna beat him but he’s gonna move up and beat Alvarez at SMW

          Spence, Hurd

              straight from the horses mouth

              his defence is superb...

              he takes away your strengths...

his opponents become inhibited, because of those sharp punishing counters

the casuals will still b,b,b,b,but.... and not be able to figure out why Golovkin could not get his game going, and could not throw those trademark body-shots

I’m included to believe Callum on the Groves thing. Canelo will punch hard in any division because he just has beautiful mechanics and is reallly really sharp and accurate. I don’t see him as this super unusual concussive puncher though. Groves put down Froch and had him all but finished and Froch had a legitimate nuclear bunker of a chin.
Had forgotten Groves put down Froch.

And that's because GGG is an alite guy too, the dude will be an ATG MW so no dishonor to having a tough fight against a great fighter.

I like Benevidez but don’t think he can beat Alvarez. Benevidez for sure has the size weight advantage. Power, maybe. That’s it. Everything else Canelo has the edge. He’s too slow and he lacks on defense. He has no head movement and is too flat footed. He’s there to be hit and has in his past fights. He not going to be able to bully Alvarez like he did with his previous opponents. And what makes you think Spence will go up 2 division and face Alvarez? When he won’t even fight Bud at his own weigh class.

You saying all these guys have a great chance to beat him just because you think so and without arguments is a vague and predictable response

Reynoso said that they won't go down to 160 so the Spence fight would be at 168, now the second part, ¿Did I read that right? you suggestin that a guy who got stopped by J-Rock at 154 will be a more dangerous guy than GGG, Jacobs, Kovalev and Smith? I don't see anything that suggests me that would be a probable scenario, not only that, Hurd is an Angulo in all of it's extension, the kind of style which Canelo embraces the most because he shines the most beating the come forward high volume no defense fighters ala Angulo or Kirkland

He is fighting a mandatory because he will look to be first undisputed SMW fighter in boxing history.

                      Conclusion:
Thanks for the chatting but you did not bring smart arguments to back up your points.
