Facts. I like Benavidez, but he is fighting in the wrong division for his size. He's a natural light-heavyweight masquerading at all these lower weights.

Everyone wants to be a weight bully now days. That's why HW is the best division. No one in that division can hide from anyone else with weight games ...

This is the problem when you have a superstar around certain weights. Top guys take soft touches waiting for that phone to ring instead of making a case for themselves.

David is fighting a guy that won by default on his last fight that he was losing.

Good. Stay busy and hopefully fight Plant in May/June and the winner faces Canelo in September. The weight he comes in at and his level of intensity will say a lot.

Benavidez has been doing all the right things through this epidemic time. Except his diet but besides that his mind seems in the right place and understanding of the sport he accepts. he doesn't cry or make ****** statements and he takes care of business in the ring. Not to mention in his last fight I watched a very intelligent fighter do what he had to do.
He is young and getting better in every aspect.
I think staying active is the best thing for him to do.
Looking forward to not only his next fight but his career to come..
