Comments Thread For: Joe Joyce: Joshua Too Wary of Shots Coming at Him, I Back Fury To Win

Joe Joyce, who knows Anthony Joshua very well from their days on the GB boxing squad, feels the unified champion is "too wary" of getting hit these days. Joyce noticed the change in Joshua's ring style in 2019 - after the British superstar suffered a stunning seventh round TKO defeat at the hands of Andy Ruiz.

I agree with every word from Joyce, he's very intelligent.

AJ is a pain to watch since Ruiz.

It is a valid opinion. If Joshua is a bit safety 1st and waits patiently for his opportunities against an active Fury he may well find he's getting outworked which in turn costs him rounds.

Personally I think both Joshua and his team are well aware of eventualities like that. However he may of seemed to of performed in his last 2 fights they both resulted in victory, if things weren't going in that direction I'm sure they would of reacted to it.

Joshua will s*** himself when he comes up against Kronk Fury in the flesh.

        Another panic attack incoming.

AJ has an option but it's only going to last for a few rounds

It's called get lucky and swing for the fence. Fury has to many different dimensions and I am not a fan of his at all but Joshua is a bit robotic and the slower of the two. Joshua has my last name and his family is from Nigeria like my ancestors but I still see some things that can be improved upon.

Since Ruiz AJ lost his confidence and is not scared of shots.

If you judge a fighter off his worst performance (which all fighters have eventually), you will underestimate that fighter. Shouldnt judge Joshua by the Ruiz fight, shouldnt judge Fury by the Wallin or Cunningham fights. Joshua has beaten more current Ring-rated fighters than any fighter, any division - Fury beat up Wilder, but hasn't defended a title. Fury is world class but you can make a case he fights and defeats a style that suits him...then sits on the title and barks. Bottom line is this fight will be HELLA interesting...but neither fighter better underestimate the other, even if their fans do. The fighter that underestimates the opponent is gonna lose the fight. My two cents...

AJ only fights the oldest, fattest, smallest fighters in the top 10.

There is No way he fights Fury.

Finger pointing from Eddie Hearn will start soon, saying they offered them xxx million and they turned it down. Fury camp will say Eddies hearns conditions were unacceptable, which will they will be... repeat of Wilder negotiations.
