That said - if dazn doesn’t have the best roster (and some will argue both ways) - then it certainly has a very competitive one. That isn’t Eddie alone but Any true American boxing fan simply has to have dazn and it is better value for money than other boxing platforms because of the ppv saga we go back n forth on.

    Dazn current headline names..

    Canelo
    Joshua
    GGG
    Garcia (Ryan)
    Haney
    Taylor
    Jacobs
    Andrade
    Billy joe Saunders
    Munguia
    Ortiz Jr (Vergil)
    Mccaskill
    Bivol
    Estrada

I’m sure there’s more I’m not thinking of, but it’s certainly a damn competitive roster. For the UK that gets split across two platforms so isn’t anywhere near as strong.
hahahaha best roster? Please! Canelo (will be with PBC PPV in two fights) Joshua (irrelevant and unknown in US) GGG (only relevant in US when Max Kellerman is yanking his chain on HBO) Garcia (popular but ODLH wont let him fight the killers because he knows the outcome) Haney (will be with Mayweather/TMT fighting on Showtime when DAZASTER contracts runs out) Taylor (irrelevant and unknown in the US) Jacobs (in talks with PBC for future 168 fights) Andrade (has spent his entire career chasing obscurity) Billy Hoe Saunders (irrelevant and unknown in US) Munguia and Ortiz jr (2 good young fighters but all of their 147 and 154 fights are at PBC) Mccaskill (I'd like to fuq) Bivol (cant speaka engles') Estrada (i would also like to fuq...not watch box)

Those are some nice names but let’s not forget that golden boy and matchroom are two different promotions, and there is no guarantee they will work together anymore nor are matchroom fighters, particularly the Americans, fighting anyone of note. Matchroom fighters don’t seem to even fight each other so how strong can this list really be? Both Top Rank and PBC had fighters to the level where they can fight within the promotion. When was the last time we saw a truly PPV level fight promoted by matchroom for the USA crowd? Where are the promotions and the fights for Andrade and Haney? What about Bivol? Where is he? Who’s he mixed it up with since going to the app life? Joshua is a U.K. star, he isn’t a draw in the USA and his fights on showtime proved no one was interested as evidence to the rankings.
Edward is clearly a good promoter for the U.K. but he has been an outright dismal failure in the USA. Instead of building relationships and working with other promoters he sought to take control in the USA. But then narcissistic personality disorder (which I believe he exhibits the traits of) leads to such behaviour

It's clear to see that Edward likes signing them and then side-lining them .His plan works well in the UK as with SKY and weird Adam Smith (who gets excited watching watching average fights) he really has had little competition working on the SKY platform that most fighters want .But their business blueprint hasn't changed from the days his dad manoeuvred Eurbank Sr. around all the dangerous great fighters and fights at the time i.e. James Toney to be in decent fights here but not with the killers. It sounds very similar when Hearn Sr. said of Wilder before Joshua was annihilated by Ruiz and everyone but the Hearns wanted it ....'If Joshua doesn't fight Wilder for the next ten years but keeps wining , then I'll take that' .!( Barry Hearn a man who didn't want their cash cow hammered).Unfortunately their weak PPV's get decent numbers and with that why not continue but the Americans aren't as easily fooled by his antics and I feel there is telling times on the horizon for young Edward.

A few good prospects on the rise, I just wish that boxnation could have worked but truth be told the only things promoters are interested in is making money for themselves.
I stumbled across Tony Oakey vs Dean Francis on youtube the other day, I remember that fight for some reason, but it got me thinking how we used to get those British/Commonwealth title fights every Friday or Saturday, and I knew all the domestic level fighters and champions, and now I haven't got a clue who's coming up. Boxing coverage on Sky has gone off a cliff and it started with Eddie Hearn taking over as their exclusive boxing promoter.

You know what? You have a valid point about Eubank Sr, he certainly didn’t have the fights with the international names like Nigel Benn did

Sleezy Hearn always getting approached by a lot of interests. I guess all the countries who want AJ-Fury are not done approaching him either. Must be the only promoter in boxing. Can’t wait till AJ wakes up and realize he’s a big enough name to promote himself and doesn’t need this slimeball. Just tell Sky u want more money and stop the games.

The haters are gonna keep hating and Hearn is gonna keep working away. I never liked the guy but he doesn't seem any worse than other promoters and wish him the best of luck. He seems willing to work with others to try to make fights fans want.

Totally agree with you razor, you know the sad thing is all the in house fights there actually could have been so many great fights over the years and promoters get greedy. It would be great if there was just one boxing platform with the best fighting the best. UFC have it, I'm not a massive fan i much prefer boxing but you never know one day, it would be so much better for the sport.
