Eddie Hearn says he has had approaches from three broadcasters once his exclusive contract with Sky Sports ends this summer, but he says intention is to negotiate a new deal with Sky. DAZN and ITV are understood to be among the broadcasters interested in working with Hearn on his UK shows after the Sky deal expires in July. DAZN already has a deal with Hearn covering the United States, Mexico, Italy and Spain, while ITV would raise the prospect of a high-profile terrestrial television showcase, even though it would put big fights on its pay-per-view platform.

Hope DAZN gets this sorted out, to be part of my sub content. But knowing him, he would go with whichever network has that PPV model - Unless he can make that money off DAZN without the need for a PPV.

Sky are not interested in boxing unless it makes money, sky used to have boxing on every weekend without fail along with there ringside show on a thursday. Boxing was buzzing in the uk about 5 years ago, but is slowly going down hill. If not for the heavyweights we wouldnt be talking much about brittish boxing. A few good prospects on the rise, I just wish that boxnation could have worked but truth be told the only things promoters are interested in is making money for themselves.

Hearn won't leave ppv while there are sheep paying ppv for terrible cards headlined by the likes of c class Whyte.

The difficulty will become choosing which fighters on which platform etc. Sky in uk and dazn abroad seems a logical solution but then what do dazn do in the uk

DAZN is going to want certain big fights for sure. But they don't need to really assign fighters on network over the other. Like make Joshua sign his separate deal with SKY and show him on SKY exclusively and then do the same with guys like Whyte but the rest should be able to fight on any platform. Let SKY keep the PPVs while putting majority of the other good match ups on DAZN, where they will be able to put up a bigger license fee. Works for both networks and more importantly for Matchroom.

It's dangerous for any promoter to have a monopoly, so I'm game for as much competition as can be as it's for certain Hearn wants it all. I hope he presses Sky too much and they break and let other promoters on that platform. I doubt that will happen as that prospect would frighten him to death.
