So what Thurman was nothing, just a busted ass ready to be beat and Manny jumped all over it instead of facing Spence, what a dumb comment be like saying there is no Porter on Mannys resume.
Manny is ducking Spence and TC its as plain as day, which is fine just throw his belt in the bin and shut up about beating them when he has no intension of stepping in with them.

If anyone supported Floyd or looked the other way while he fought Canelo, and especially Berto and McGregor, then they shouldn't have an issue with a fight like this.
If they dogged Floyd for/or those fights, then they can look reasonable for dogging this fight and Pac and Ryan.
It would be great for us if all boxers fought the best and who we all wanted, and didn't care about the money. But we know that isn't how it goes.
1st I think we all can agree at the Berto stage & the stage that Pac is at now they've earned the right to decide who they want to fight. (The "BUT" is coming later)
Do I think Canelo was the toughest test Floyd could've taken at the time? No BUT Canelo was definitely in the conversation! People be re-writing history about that fight like a MF. & I'm going to chalk this up due to Canelo's fan base which lies like crazy for him. Because of his economic value Canelo has more eyes on him & he naturally has more fans. So when you have a lot of people saying the same thing over & over it becomes the narrative even if it's not true.
Now let's get into it: Canelo was an undefeated unified champion on the P4P list people love so much, with 1 less professional fight than Floyd. "They" say Floyd had more "experience", well why Mosley & Cotto ain't beat Canelo? Floyd & Canelo fought close to the weight Canelo was champion in & that was Floyds 5th highest weight class in his career. I want to shout out Teddy Atlas for saying in summary what I'm saying now in detail: Nobody was saying Canelo was too young until AFTER HE LOST. This is the same guy who said he was "born ready" at the weigh in that people are making excuses for afterwards. Going into the fight Floyd was taking a fight he was expected to win but very well COULD LOSE. People say "Floyd never passed the torch" to any fighter like he never gave fighters their opportunity at greatness. If you look at boxing history IF dudes will even fight a young lion like Canelo they lose. (I.e. SRL, Norris; DLH, Chavez) Them odds was closer than Loma & Lopez on both sides! Floyd was 36.. THIRTY SIX! He's an anamoly & people just don't wanna give him his credit. He deserves all the credit for fighting Canelo when he did at both their ages. This fight can't even be compared to the other two. Let me say this to end as well: Hatton, Ortiz, Guerrero, & Berto didn't improve after Floyd beat them so what was the guarantee Canelo was going to become the improved fighter he is today?
Was I happy about Floyd & Berto? No, but did I kill him for it? Absolutely not. He let one of his straps go so others can fight for it. If he didn't earn the right to fight who he wanted before Canelo, 38 Y.O. Floyd damn sure did by the time he fought Berto. After everything he did in his career, being under appreciated, how can I really feel a way about his last fight being vs Berto who's at least a professional boxer in his weight class (in which I'm sure Floyd himself actually thought he was finally retired at the time.) It ain't even like he took the fight for money either lol, I think he did it just to complete his Showtime contract & retire.
With McGregor why would I even be mad at that at all? That whole year was magical for boxing. But specifically to that fight he was retired for nearly 2 years & made one of the biggest fights in combat sports history. & he wasn't holding up any belts or careers in the process. Put more eyes on the sport, gave some of his fighters an even bigger platform to fight on.
Is Ryan as accomplished as Canelo was when he fought Floyd? Shìt McGregor wasn't a boxer but he was still a 2 division champion. Was he as experienced as Berto? Was he already acclimated to the weight like him? Did Floyd try to go for a straight cash grab in boxing vs a guy who never became a champion in boxing? Never fought outside the weight class in his career. Did Floyd hold up any world titles when he did his circus fight? Was their ever talk of fighting another "active" boxer in an exibition? Lol I don't think I ever seen a young boxer in their prime do anything like this.
My problem ain't even the fight mainly. It's Pacquiao babysitting the WBA & Ryan using other ppl name with his diva tactics. If the title is on the line that may be even worse tho. I am a lil bothered by his ducking tho I'm not gonna lie. It's kinda crazy a guy doesn't have to win anything at all to fight Manny tho. He's literally just popular...Do we blame the leader, the follower, or social media....Or the one who leads the followers on social media?Comment
