This was corny of Floyd. I think the personas of mayweather and mcgregor have been great for their respective sports. While race place a factor, it’s not racism. Mcgregor gets nationalism support from Ireland which in turn generates massive support from Irish people in America. Very similar to how Mexican/Mexican American fighters like Chavez, canelo and Oscar received heavy support from Mexican Americans in the Us. The fact is, Americans be it black or white, don’t support their boxers with that same type of passion. When it comes to boxing or really any sport, there isn’t any nationalistic pride. Just watch any sports tournament for basketball, baseball etc that takes place in America. There’s usually just as much if not more support for other countries even if the event is taking place in America. Then see the difference when similar events are held in other countries. The nationalistic pride is on another level outside of America. So Floyd’s beef should be that his own kind do not support him with the same passion that others support their own.

Floyd talks about Conor stealing his persona. Whatever you think about Conor as a fighter or person, he's funny and quick witted. Floyd has never made me laugh and most of what he tries to say is cringe ****. Plus for the casual fan Floyd is boring as a fighter. Not saying that's my opinion. Conor really blew up when he had that quick knockout of Jose Aldo. People will always think he can get that back. Like when Ronda first got exposed.
