Firstly, he's on the terminal decline and let's be honest, Bek was gonna beat his ass with or without gear so it would have made no difference

Secondly an old completely shot guy using it to try and rescue something is different to a guy in his prime using testosterone, especially as testosterone levels decline as you age anyway

Thirdly you're right about cleaning up boxing, it's impossible because of what it is. I've always believed drugs is a grey area in boxing, like if a guy tests positive for ******* or weed, it's considered the same as PED's even though they're different drug types. Supplements which are tainted and violate protocols are rife not just in sport but everyone and to be frank, like Andre Berto when he popped for a tainted supplement. Do I think he's a cheat? No.

Let's not forget the ways Kovalev humiliatingly disgraced himself before this

1) Made those racist comments about Adonis Stevenson

2) Instead of training hard after the first Ward fight to win the second fight, he makes constant excuses, doesn't train hard, doesn't listen to his coaches, and doesn't work on his inside game. Got knocked out brutally due to his failure to admit responsibility.

3) Fires his coach and pretends he needs amateur coach.

4) Gets brutally KOd again and makes excuses that he was overtraining

5) Humiliatingly sells his belt to Canelo and excepts humiliating terms in the contract like 1 month break between fights and a rehydration clause

6) Illegally streams DAZN ppvs

7) Gets busted for PEDs

Not surprised that Ward doesn’t want to criticize Kovalev because of ped abuse. Ward himself notoriously lied about using the services of balco godfather and convicted criminal victor conte, so if ward went into Kovalev hard, he himself would have to answer questions he has been lucky to avoid so far.

No, Kovalev's own arrogance lost him that fight and nothing else. He completely refused to admit that he did anything wrong that first fight. Yes you could have scored it for Kovalev, but it doesn't matter. If you're a true champion you always question yourself and figure out what you need to do better. And learn. And improve. Kovalev's arrogance made him refuse to improve, didn't listen to his coaches. Really need to work on his inside game, defending the body shots, clinch work, but didn't. Andre trained that aspect of his game even harder.

Sorry if you're a Kovalev fan but your man let you down. And you should be pissed at HIM, not Andre, Kovalev disrespected the **** out of all of his fans by his antics in between fights.
