THIS bunch of comments descended into ugly real fast....

Ward actually is giving Kovalev the benefit of the doubt here, and his comments contend that Kovalev was clean for his career up to now. There is nothing controversial here. He popped positive and that is fact. He has never ben associated with PEDs up until now, that is also a fact. Ward just pointing out the truth: Kov is at the end of an up and down career. He got caught. What is the argument to be had here?

I am echoing Ward's statements in the article. That Kovalev was at the end of his career and went for one last hail mary. It failed. It doesn't wipe out his accomplishments. I mean Shane Mosley was doing EPO in the prime of his career and he was a first ballot HOFer. Roy Jones popped too. Evan Fields. This doesn't affect their legacies. Kovalev did it at the end. Who cares?
