he only took risks when his star was waning in order to get back in the limelight. before that he was being managed with kid gloves and careful matchmaking. not as badly as tank but still pretty bad. maidana was a guy he should have beaten seeing how alexander dominated him, they definitely miscalculated with porter and didnt realize how good he was but porter was coming off a loss and they tried to drain him, still wasnt enough. after that his career was zab judah like being brought in to lose

I feel like the Maidana fight was a big risk when he didn't have to to do that fight at the time and Porter is a tough ask for anyone
