Mayweather did not train for Conor because he knew he did not need to train for him. If he was fighting Thurman he would be in top condition as he always was for all his fights with pro boxers. I think Mayweather would win a close fight.

Those fights were close slopfests and Thurman just backpedaled in the championship rounds (it's how he got the nickname run time). Thurman showed he can't fight on the inside and despite having the nickname "One Time" he's got no power. Big difference from Spence soundly beating Garcia and Porter.
