Uncle Bob being his usual self here. I remember Bob saying the same thing about Valuev if he got in the ring with his fighter Tye Fields. Fields had beat several decent journeymen like Sedrick Fields, Sherman Willams, Maurice Harris, Bruce Seldon & Kendrick Releford. He was hyping him up like he was the next great white hope (He actually brought up that he was big, strong & white after the Releford win). He was moving Tye towards a title fight then he put him on the Pacquiao/David Diaz PPV undercard to showcase him & Monte Barrett crushed him in a minute.... His next big thing was sent packing shortly after. Not saying that is the case here with Lopez but Bob likes to talk....

Arum refuses to pay what Teofimo's demands along with Lomachenko's contractual minimum...that's out.

And then there is Devin Haney.

Haney is a big, young lightweight that can box, fights long and has an educated piston jab. Trying to counter Haney all night will end with a UD loss in a snooze feast and putting Haney on the ropes isn't likely at this stage.

Haney is a headache that Bob doesn't want .
Arum might be one of those promoters where there's really no minimum if you lose, or get a quarter of your former guarantee in your next fight. If Loma fought Verdejo next, Arum will pay him about 500-750K.

Bob is completely right in Lopez's case. Lopez is looking at max 1 mil for Kambosos, or less. Lopez will be humbled.

Bob makes very few big fights. The last one was Fury vs Wilder and his fighter had tampered gloves to relieve his blood pressure.

Arum had to be dragged to the table to make history’s most lucrative fight. Now he will even fight to keep rivals from having big fights? Despite his claims that his rivals are losing money throwing them?

Arum is that crab in boxing’s bucket trying to hold everyone else back. He can’t climb anymore so he wants to trap everyone below him. When this old dude is finally out of boxing revenue will shoot through the roof.
Thats why he made Wilder vs Fury
        Loma vs Linares
        Loma vs Corolla
Loma vs Cambell, all non top rank openents and made the biggest ffigh this year. Loma vs Lopez.

            The record says it all

16 fights and he thinks he is a legend, even Ryan is all puffed up but at least he has more fights. Much respect for Arum 89 yrs old and still living his dream

Not that many options out there. For Ryan, Tank is the only fight that is bigger than Teo.

Lol... Top Rank boxing is on a decline. If you are not putting the best product out their how can you make money. PBC is doing okay but if Top Rank wasn’t sand bagging and sabotaging everyone could be doing better. If audiences consistently received the best match ups and the media promoted them boxing would have a new golden age. Top Rank is killing the sport. Trash promoting as they protect some of the best fighters.

He made this fight because he wanted to disrupt the PBC’s most popular fighter with a cheat.

Loma vs Linares How was this the best fight that could be made for Loma? Please explain? Just because biased HBO raved about? What was the profit? Who was talking about it?

Loma vs Corolla Now I know you are on crack? Corolla? GTFOH

Loma vs Cambell, all non top rank openents and made the biggest ffigh this year. Loma vs Lopez.
Loma vs Campbell was decent but are you saying that is the biggest fight that could be made with Loma at the time? GTFOH?

Bottomline, is this Bob is working with small promoters he is not threatened by to make fights no one wanted to see. Then when other promoters make the best fights he tries to hate on it to take steam off the build up. Maybe you just want favorites like Loma to be protected to relay fake longevity. But this is a sport and the only thing that attracts fans is putting out your best matchups. Bob is killing the sport.
