1. Still never said canelo would be the best Mexican ever as you said he did. So you lied.
2. He’s maintained Crawford is much better than canelo but only gave canelo the edge in competition and that hasn’t changed.
3. There are wayyyy more articles of Chavez criticizing canelo than praising him. So the main point is, you guys want to nut guzzle him and cry about criticism, yet he’s been criticized consistently by real Mexican greats. So when Chavez laughed and walked away during an interview when he was asked if canelo would be the best ever, when he said canelo is not among the top 5 in Mexicans in boxing history , when he said Crawford was much better than canelo, when he had canelo losing multiple fights that he called from ringside, He meant all of that and unlike you blind groupies, he doesn’t shine blind praise upon him.

i accept i might have used the wrong words, since i remember chavez being asked during the live broadcast from tvazteca, not the espn postfight, but i couldnt fight the tvazteca one so i will give you that...

Two Mexican greats who have understandably criticized certain things about canelo. Real Mexicans are actual boxing fans and call it as they see it, good or bad. The groupies on here only want the good and argue against the bad even if it’s facts. So while Chavez or any other Mexican in boxing can understandably give canelo his props, it doesn’t mean that they act like the bad doesn’t exists. Because it does when it comes to testing positive for clen, controversial scorecards, using A side tactics to gain an advantage such as the short notice or weight clauses, and it shouldn’t be ignored, even if you want to credit him.
