Lennox Lewis was a heavier puncher. Corrie Sanders was the quicker, harder puncher of the two. To make sense of this statement, if you noticed, Lennox used his entire 250 pound frame to punch which in turn, made him the heavier puncher. Sanders was lightning quick and used mostly his arm strength when punching.

Lenny had a better arsenal and could put up some nice combos.
Corrie had more crisp in his punches, his left was quick and thunderous.
He could also put up some nice combos, earlier in his career.
I could see how he was a very avoidable fighter early in his career.

I dont know. I would think lewis is the heavier puncher but sanders power is more sneaky coming from the southpaw stance and he throws faster combos than lewis did

Sanders is a prime example of such a waste of talent. The guy simply viewed boxing as a hobby more than a career. If this guy took it more seriously and possibly hired a good trainer, he would have dominated the division for years. The guy had a pretty good beard to go along with his power. He was only knocked out once in his career and it came from a punch he never saw.

I always thought Sanders had the potential to go further than he did but he squandered it and didn't take his career as seriously as he could have. I don't know if he was a bigger puncher than Lewis but I wouldn't doubt it if he was.

Good post. Most people dont know anything about what Sanders did OTHER than his fight with Wladimir.

Who knows who has the most power...for the money and the record however I will take LL's right hand.

I will say this...the Vitaly Klitchko victory over Sanders was always a bit undervalued in my mind because he did something in that fight that not many HW's at the time if any could do which was eat flush power shots from the South African...he ate them...was un fazed and ultimately punished Corrie.

How many times does a HW have to eat harcore straight left hands from a southpaw?

Can anyone find a confirmed link to such a test ? I always see stats but never a believable link or story.I now Tyson's estimated power was around 1200psi but is there any truth to him or any of the others taking a real test ?
