Enjoyed reading this. I've seen a clip of Davis and Teo sparring. Davis was just sort plodding around though, not taking it serious. I like listening to what davis has to say; he's a smart guy and down to earth. Best of all, he actually speaks comprehensible english.

Both Haney and Teo were supper young in both age and experience when they sparred Davis (Davis was more experienced then both at the time). They are different beasts today and we all know those sparring stories don’t matter at this level, they have all evolved so much.

This is how a champion talk.

I believe him because as a former fighter beating up Tom Boom Boom Johnson sparring and I was learning so to speak from a seasoned vet but he couldn’t do anything with me. I can see Gervonta the same way with power advantage and ring IQ. I see all these other guys wanting to be young and flashy but Davis reminds me so much of my late friend who was just a natural as well and would stop everyone as an amateur with body shots and speed and he never trained hard either, he was the closest I seen to Bernard Super Bad Mays another natural who had an early tragic death but was super gifted.

I remember poppa Haney saying that they did spar twice and the first time, Davis got the better of Devin. I think Devin was pretty young and he said he pulled him because he saw enough.

The second time, he said it was a couple of years later and he called Floyd to set it up and I think it was at Mayweather's gym in Vegas. I think he said Broner was there too and Devin got the better of Tank that time and he said Tank didn't seem on that day.

Knowing what we know about Tank's lack in discipline with weight in between fights, this seems totally reasonable.

            Round robin

I think they should have a de facto round robin tournament and the fighter who comes out on top will be the true champ

Protected “scared to lose that 0” actually talking about “continue to prove it” ?? Lmao!! He just fought gimpy old chinny Gamboa and past it smaller pillow-fisted Lsc who was just “cashing out” at the end of his career....Teo knocked out Commey and then beat Loma - the # 1 or #2 top p4p in 16 fights!!!! Davis so freaking ignorant...cant help saying ****** crap bc of his ignorance, this interview is a perfect example!

Davis is a straight forward and straight up guy. I think he used to allow the whispers of Ellerbe and Mayweather to get to him more. Now though, he’s finding his voice and expressing himself much better.

Tank never brings up sparring until someone else brings it up (with the exception of maybe Redkach). Yet, his reputation in the gym is legendary.

Only thing missing is that superstar fight... a bout with Garcia would definitely break him out big time. Garcia holds the cards right now. Tank is second place. Everyone else at 130-135 is behind the line.

Tank is doing nothing but living off that tmt promotion banner and some teenage sparring. Its A reason why they carefully picking his opponents trust me.
