Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor: Teofimo Lopez's Ego Has Exploded, I'd Like To Cut Him Down To Size!

Josh Taylor says he is not ruling out a future showdown with Teofimo Lopez, but believes the unbeaten boxer has more to achieve at lightweight before meeting him. Unified WBA and IBF junior welterweight champion, Taylor is awaiting confirmation on a clash with unified WBC and WBO titlist, Jose Ramirez for the undisputed crown.

That's a nice fight. He's right about lopez staying at LW and defending his belts.. that's HOF stuff, there's no rush from a fan perspective because there's plenty of good fights there unless he grows out of the weight, he's had a good run at lw.. but yes stay put and defend the belts... For now

When the hell is Arum and Top Rank going to make Taylor-Ramirez? I don’t get why it hasn’t gotten a date at least, I guess we have to wait till April/May just to watch a HBO boxing after dark fight.

I think Taylor might be too much for Lopez but these guys won’t fight because Top Rank is trying to not spend $$$ on any of its fighters unless it’s Fury

Teofimo has no more intention going to the Hydro than he does Oz. Name dropping.

I think Davis would beat Taylor's bum ass in the UK, ala Liam Walsh.

But he's right, Lopez is really basic. Same punches all the time. Mostly one two. Taylor would kick his ass. Make it happen ASAP.

I've been saying this for a week now. Other than Davis, that's the best money fight, and Arum might forgive him. Hearn will throw money on that one. Loma and Nakatani would beat Taylor, too, at 140.

I think Taylor has a dog strong enough to stop Lopez.

Both Taylor and Regis Prograis can defeat Lopez.

Lopez should be patient and finish his business at 135 before moving up in weight.
