Wilder is over as a boxer anyway, if he fights again he'll have to fight ranked boxers which he has avoided his entire career. He won't be able to sneak in the back way like last time.

It was a good scam whilst it lasted, but it's over now.
This Comment is to the point.

Yeah, I kind of agree with this. The pandemic has forced a lot of bouts to be postponed.

However, a pandemic shouldn't have held up negotiations from taking place if Wilder as serious about going up against Fury again. It seems as if Wilder panicked when Fury/Arum said the contract had expired and are now clutching at straws to get another shot -- likely because he knows he is in the twilight of his career.

          I see a payoff looming.

Dayum...look at that bitterness oozing from your comment

Fury won, fair and square. Gloves were inspected, no anomalies found. Case closed.

Besides the athletic commission confirming Fury's gloves were legit and there was no foreign object, id say the most compelling evidence that Fury won fair and square is the amount of different excuses that have been used to validate Ducktay Whiner's abysmal defeat; heavy costume, gloves had no padding, egg weight in his glove, it was an illegal palm strike to the back of the head that caused the initial damage, referee was drunk and corrupt, trainer conspired with the opposing team, trainer spiked his water

The only thing worse than Ducktay Whiner's defeat is the pathetic excuses he and his dimwit fans have blurted out

The Gypsy King 3 – 0 Ducktay Whiner

I’m obviously not privy to the contract but it’s likely that there is an ADR clause in the contract. That would mean that either party has to go through a process of ADR (mediation) before they can litigate (either through bringing a civil suit or going through a binding arbitration procedure).

This explains why they’re bothering to sit through a mediation process in the first place which was never going to resolve anything.

I still don’t think Wilder has a case, mind you. I’m sure the rematch clause would have included an express time limit which has expired and even if not there is the “reasonable time” argument referred to by REDEEMER, above.

Not dis*****g anything but this - the first knockdown was a punch to the back of the head.

Other than that, Fury humiliated Wilder.

Not only was it a punch, it was a perfectly legal punch

A guy can't be penalised for a punch that strays behind the ear when his opponent turns away from the punch, exposing the back of his head like a scared little girl
