Erm ok Edward I’m confused....when the talk was between Wilder and Joshua, the unification HAD to happen in the U.K. “for the British fans”.....so what has changed? Are the British fans not important anymore or was it just that they wanted to treat Wilder like a slave and dictate to him how it was all going to go? Just more evidence of how narcissistic Edward Hearn really is

Don't be an idiot. I get that and I too want this fight A.S.A.P. like you and like most .I'm saying that no matter what if there was a slight edge in money , pandemic or not then Hearn would line his pockets before even a thought for you or any one else .Hearn is a home or away from where he can squeeze enough out of you. Prime example ...pandemic ... a crap mandatory which no one wanted but had to be, against a old faded average fighter = highest PPV yet and £10m + for Joshua and I'm sure his usual cut .Thought for the fans , which of many are really struggling =zero .Hearns a ****.Comment

Also Hearn agreed to have a 2 fight deal with Wilder one in the U.S which I believe was going to be the first one .Comment

It's been proved that neither side wanted it during the pandemic, but only one side needed it. They had the legal right to insist that it happened in December, whatever the financial consequences, but they chose not to exercise that right, despite Fury saying he was prepared to fight on that date if necessary.Last edited by kafkod; 01-14-2021, 11:43 AM.Comment

Who has ever said Hearn doesnt care about money? Don't be an idiot.
The point is, if the fighters want to make the money AJ is used to and Fury might get used to, they have to sell tickets.
I'd still prefer the fight in the UK but I would also like the fight asap...so if it helps being abroad I have no issue with it.Comment

As a Brit though, having this fight overseas will suck the soul out of the fight because anyone who was previously interested will likely feel pretty detached from it all if its in Saudi.
If they did it in the UK, and they could fill Wembley with the 90,000 - they could probably sell tickets to the weigh in too! Imagine if they did the weigh in at Wembley and sold tickets to that for like £20 each, you'd probably get 50,000+ for that! Imagine the atmosphere! No way you get that in Saudi.
The alcohol revenue would probably out weigh the PPV sales because everyone will be sinking 10 pints and start feeling brave in the arenaComment
