Reading back, it wasn't both teams that requested the title to be on the line, only Lopez' team: https://www.boxingscene.com/wbc-prez...is-own--152472

When has the WBC said that they changed the rules for the Frenchfries title? I've only seen articles that mention Sulaimoney has stated that Lopez had to request and be approved to be able to challenge for it...which is not how world titles work. Either the sanctioning body orders a champion to fight a mandatory, or they approve an opponent for the champion in a voluntary defence. You don't ask, as a challenger, a sanctioning body for the right to challenge for their world title in a unification fight...after a fight with their respective champion has already been sanctioned and scheduled. Just, no.

On top of that, who recognises the WBC Frenchfries as a legitimate world title besides Canelo, Lopez, their hardcore fans and the WBC? Nobody. Who recognises the WBA Super title as a legitimate world title? Literally everybody. Check the WBA, IBF and WBO rankings. They don't recognise Lopez as the WBC world champion. Check the WBC, IBF and WBO rankings. They all recognise WBA Super champions (not regular).

So if you can't win it without petitioning the WBC's board of governors for permission, you don't have to fight any mandatory challengers (unlike the WBA Super)...at all, and the main way you gain the status is by being awarded it for being a popular fighter...how is it a legitimate world title?

It's not legitimate and that's the bottom line, it's not.

Okay, so your point of even quoting me is?...

It was a close fight that warrants a rematch. Why do you trolls try to act like you have a purpose?

You’re still crying? Freaking snowflakes. Loma rejected a rematch. Same as Zab Judah when he fought Kostya. Zab and Loma both got exactly what they asked for. Loma, just as Zab didn’t then, doesn’t deserve it now because this is what he wanted.

Yeah sure. If he fights only those two he’s obviously ducking the Loma rematch and also Garcia.

He’s not talking retirement, he’s just moving to a better weight for himself. Haney is barely hanging on at 135 himself. Plenty of good fights at 140

Did you just compare Loma-Lopez to Judah-Tsyzu?

Loma didn’t want a rematch. Judah didn’t want a rematch. They both lost. What’s so hard to understand? The only difference is Zab, to my knowledge, never cried about it afterwards which is surprising. So, no. I didn’t compare the two fights based on the fighters. The equivalence is the rematch clause. If that’s too hard for you to understand, not much else I can tell you.

                    Zab got KO'd...

Loma lost a close decision. You little boys need to speak as though you're in a boxing gym. That way you wont sound as ****** as you do.
