The big difference here is that the new breed, spence, Porter, Crawford etc skipped both mayweather and pacquiao yet still claim to be the best in the division. In my mind none of them are until they beat pacquiao. At what point did he relinquish welterweight dominance? Certainly wasn’t in the Horn robbery or any fight since. Who’s beaten him out of the top welterweights?? Only Thurman had the balls to try and he got beat. Even beyond 40 I’d put money on PAC to beat everyone bar Crawford. He’s the only one with the skills. Never been impressed with Spence. Rugged and relentless but nothing special skill wise.

Agree with just about everything you said but Manny is at best a PART TIME fighter anymore. And that is OKAY. Hes among the best to ever do it. If he fights again it will probably only be once more.

Because manny wouldn’t shell up or be content just to go the distance.
His offensive style would be to his detriment in this fight i believe.
That said he caught some great flush counters against Thurman that didn’t have him in serious trouble, so maybe not knocked out cold, but I think he’d get stopped.

Not only that how do they figure Manny has not stopped everyone on his resume, fighters notoriously cant get a KO over a B grader and then KOs an ATG or top fighter, it happens all the time .

Spence can stop Manny they better believe that especially in the last 3rd when he will be coming home strong and Manny is starting to gas , and you can bet Spence will be mentally up for the fight.
