Ah shet... now there's a thought. Just mentioned to Pandas we'd be doing a half year and full year points drop for category leaders but the thought occurs that we're **** on the quarter year mark after Tsyzu vs Hogan on 3/31 so with that in mind why not go for quarterly drops instead?
Got my hands full this a.m pulling together a Greek feast for mine and Ms Ks mums and trying to control a pair of chocolate egg fueled berserkers but I reckon I can get to it this eve...
Reckon 100k for, 50k and 25k for top 3 on points. 50k each for highest %, # perfect and longest streak... hmm... maybe 50k for the highest ratio of perfect picks to total picks made too. I'll think on that one.

The points will be awarded based in the standings at the end of the first quarter Jan 1st to Mar 31st so you'll have to split your 50k with mlac I think.. this weekend's fights ain't included for this purpose although the Tsyzu vs Hogan pick em is.Comment

Actually thinking on it a little it should be easy enough going forward to award quarterly points drops to players based on their performance in the last quarter rather than on their running totals for the year by just subtracting the totals from previous quarters. Means it should spread the awards around a bit - and maybe help reduce attrition a little and give more incentive to latecomers.Comment

Okay gents, as promised it's time for the first 2021 Quarterly pointsgiving in recognition of the best achievers over the past quarter year in various categories..
Ain't the first time it's been proposed but if I recall right COVID kinda messed it up last year and the idea was just for doing it twice yearly, but I figured quarterly really ain't a lot of hassle and helps break up the year a bit, maybe gives abit more incentive to players who missed a few or started late and gives them a chance to get some recognition even if the yearly prizes might be effectively out of reach.
So without further ado this quarter's high scorers:

keithj (710pts) 25k points

Congratulations gents, I gotta admit I'm not entirely clear what you can do with your points anymore since the plaza seems to have vanished in the upgrade, but I guess they remain a kinda currency of sorts or... something.
Anyway, it's more about giving you all a little recognition so congratulations to all of you who won this quarter and best of luck going forward. Remember you might think you're sitting pretty right now but there's a sea of hungry contenders snapping at your heels so you gotta stay on your A game gents.
