    Neither.

Oscar had a good chin and was levels above these. These are average fighters that I don't see going anywhere when they are matched tough. Crawford would kill Ortiz.

I like Ortiz also, if he fought Crawford tomorrow I’d be hard pressed to favor one over the other.

You must not know who Ortiz is,he was like Canelo a jr olympics prodigy (champ),& a 7x national champ amatuer in 5 weightclasses (he went pro too early for olympics which made it 19 yrs old minimum from 2016 on.) (Ironically he also lost on pts as an am to Ryan Garcia, but hes developed to a true ww that would murder Ryan today which is why hes 2 weightclasses above him)

He definitely has a great chin,& he already looks impressive as a ww when he stepped up(compare him fighting Vargas to Crawford fighting Benevidez after he was partially debilitated in 1 leg.)

De la Hoya was an ATG,so if he doesn't match up but comes close thats a hell of a career

Thing is I think he won't get the same opportunities Ryan does simply cos of looks and social media following... Garcia is beeng groomed to be the next big thing and that matters a lot. Also in the present climate Vergil is facing the same problem Bud does... all his potential top opponents - either at 147 or 154 - are over at PBC and Als got no need whatsoever to do GBP any favours.

I think Bud has probably outgrown 140 - at 33 that cut's gonna be difficult - but he ain't a big guy at 147 and at 154 he'd be outsized, whereas I think Vergil will grow naturally into 154 in the next few years and could even possibly end up at 160.
You're right that he doesn't have the starpower baby face Ryan does nor is does Vergil have the aura of a young superstar but I think hes THAT good he'll end up getting the big fights as soon as he wins a belt which I think he will when he becomes mandatory (Mexicans love belts on young fighters,& will raise his profile quick, which Bud doesn't have the luxury,so I see him getting fights once fighters know they'll get the respect if they beat him,& the payday especially.

(for some reason latino fighters from cali have a hell of a hard time becoming stars compared to fighters from Mexico unless they're great like DLH was,but I think Virgil is the 1st since DLH that I've seen who I just "KNEW" was the cream of the crop level talents, when many were high on Mungaia who trained with Canelo,

I KNEW he wasn't very skillful & I seen shades of Chavez JR,I see a lil of that in Ryan that hes too arrogant to devote himself fully to boxing let alone after a loss,& Ryans already talking about retiring at 30 ffs),

I just flat out don't think Ryan is all that, hes kinda a 1 trick pony atm,but he has stepped it up a lot recently,& has definitely surprised me in a short amount of time since hes been training under Reynosos.

Light-years of difference in experience at the top level. I think Ortiz is a very good prospect but I still need to see him against someone in the top 10 to be sble to really gage him. But as of right now I would have Crawford as a clear favorite based on experience alone.

I don't see him fighting crawford at all though. It's a high risk - low reward for Bud, and if he's gonna risk anything, it will be vs Spence or Porter.
On the other hand, Ortiz is having hard time making WW limit allready, so he's not staying there for long imo, but it looks like he has the potential to keep his power while moving up.

Actually think both Ryan and Vergil will be the next two stars of boxing

I got Ortiz by KO as well. He's the goods and should be the promotional star of Golden Boy but thats whats wrong with this alphabet beta society.

Like you said Crawford's best is 140 and he's been hurt at 147 and is very vulnerable at welter. Ortiz also has the right mentality, I got him with a late KO. Crawford is a damn good fighter but he's a product of marketing and a very weak resume. Who has he beaten to get all this p4p talk?

Its possible Crawford could decision him with a boxing exhibition. He should AVOID exchanges. That kid is awesome. I’d like for him to get 3 fights a year since no one with a big name will fight him. Just put in the work. Money will come later. Dont be rushed.

I’m all aboard the Ortiz hype train, I think he’s going to rule 147.
