  • The real Prodigy successor to Canelo is Ortiz NOT Garcia

    My BRUTALLY HONEST ASSESSMENT

I think Buds best division is 140 lbs
I have ALWAYS been able to spot true generational talent from a very young age & I see Vergil Ortiz koing Crawford (I know, the audacity)

I think Ryan will be a star & will win several belts over his career & maybe become a Hofer, but I see megastardom in Ortiz, this kids a beast,100% ko rate,he like Ryan is 5'10" but he fights at ww not lw(it shows Ryan is weightbullying by intentionally draining down to fight smaller guys) Ortiz isn't a diva like Ryan,& he has it all speed, power, punch variety, combos to the body & head (I know he just faced a C level in Vargas, but he whooped his ass worse than anyone before (even Dsg)

I think 22 yr old Ortiz already has the ability to beat Crawford & heres why:"hes bigger than Crawford & actually all around skilled enough already to seriously hurt Crawford whom doesn't like to fight young/prime fighters with power who are also very skilled, young & hungry. Crawford was clipped by mean machine & his body of work tells me hes way overrated ww, I mean it doesn't get worse than going 12 against drive by victim Benevidez who gave him hell for 12 rds off & on.

(I don't care what he did yrs ago at 135 or even 140,he didn't fight the level champs that are at 140 now,he beat paper champs then bounced straight to top rank stumble bums at ww,& has feasted off them ever since)

I see this fight playing out like 22 yr old Canelo vs prime Undefeated champ Trout, except Ortiz to not only kd Bud but to ko him.

Ortiz has already stated the obvious that he'll be the easiest fight for Crawford to make Because he knows hes the B side & GBP has already been calling him out like they did Loma with Linares.

Thats why I don't get my hopes up too much that this fight ever happens because Crawford is only looking to step up vs Spence,he doesn't want a 22 yr old unless he sucks like green machine or has 1 leg.

So what say you all? Am I out of my mind?

We'll see how it all plays out between Ortiz an Garcia I see them both doin good things in this sport. Goin off topic but pertaining to a fight between Ortiz an Crawford well I would like to see more rds from Ortiz see if his chin holds up an then fight more southpaws since Crawford can do both right an lefty. I would like to point one thing out that "Breadman Edwards" has pointed out about Crawford which is he's bigger an punches harder than people think he does, an also that Crawford can make adjustments to adversity during the fight

All true, but styles make fights & I see Ortiz being all wrong for Crawford the same way I predicted Smith was made for Canelo(I predicted that when most boxing world said Gingers afraid of the real champ at 168,Smith)

I think Crawford is too agressive & leaves himself open,& a guy like Ortiz would bully him based on physicality & body shots.

I like both Ryan and Ortiz.
I’m guessing Ortiz can carry his power father up in weight than Garcia...

          We will have to see.

Vergil Ortiz Jr the most decorated amatuer in years whos already gunning for Crawford & whom looks levels above Ryan Garcia.

Garcia is very 1 dimensional compared to Ortiz,he is nowhere near the all around fighter Ortiz is imho

Your right KushKing Crawford fights aggressively but I think that would work to his advantage he can switch southpaw like I said before, an I feel like Ortiz at this point in time wouldn't be able to deal with the adjustments crawford makes during fights. Crawford at this point would be able to disarm Ortiz in any fighting stance using either hand an neutralizing Ortiz's jab which I'm sure you've seen before is Ortiz's main weapon, an sets up everything for him which his trainer Garcia has done a good job with him on

I wouldn't personally pick Vergil over Bud... certainly at least not yet, but I do see him having a higher ceiling than Ryan (although Ryan impressed me a great deal last week). Thing is I think he won't get the same opportunities Ryan does simply cos of looks and social media following... Garcia is beeng groomed to be the next big thing and that matters a lot. Also in the present climate Vergil is facing the same problem Bud does... all his potential top opponents - either at 147 or 154 - are over at PBC and Als got no need whatsoever to do GBP any favours.

I think Bud has probably outgrown 140 - at 33 that cut's gonna be difficult - but he ain't a big guy at 147 and at 154 he'd be outsized, whereas I think Vergil will grow naturally into 154 in the next few years and could even possibly end up at 160.

So you see it kinda like Floyd vs Canelo then?(weights & size aside) I can see it,I just am not sold on Bud at ww yet.

The reason I think Ortiz by Ko is because Crawford has never gone up against someone like Ortiz,& especially not someone who punches with such ferociousness in every shot,Ortiz is amazingly good at being able to swing for the fences with every shot while still keeping his guard up & hes a huge ww who I don't see Bud hurting (I think his only shots on pts) (Ortiz already fights like a more agressive Canelo which Canelo Didn't used to at his age)

I came to this conclusion after carefully watching film on both fighters,I see Benevidez as a VERY skilled opponent BEFORE he was shot & partially debilitated,& Bud had tons of trouble with him,But Benevidez wasn't anywhere near as well rounded as Ortiz imo because his damaged leg took away his mobility & ferociousness,I just see the Ortiz fight playing out like Bud vs Benevidez if Benevidez was bigger, stronger, more mobile,& far less timid.

I am aware Bud is very astute at countering over agressive opponents but I think Ortiz wouldn't have enough respect for his power to stay off him long enough for Bud to get in a rhythm.
