Was one of Garcia's biggest detractors until he pushed for the Campbell fight and went through what he went through. Credit to him for stepping up on that. Haney is a "champion" and hasn't fought anybody credible enough to even fight for the belt. That's on Hearn at this point though, so can't totally knock him.

Haney blew his opportunity when he was matched with Gamboa, he thought a saftey first fight dont rate that at all.

Oh dear, how will the EDL/BF Edward Hearn fans and the La Raza Golden Boy fans (both of whom seem to HATE Al Haymon with a passion) respond to this? Will we see acrimonious speeches on something called the “ldbc”? “Gaymon”? Etc etc. Both Canelo and Garcia now having links with Al Haymon for future fights.....man that’s got to be tough for the race/nationalism based “fans”....

None of those guys you just named had their careers progress at all with PBC at all. Mikey only got Spence in a fight that shoulda never happened but Haymon was cool with it since Mikey asked for it so it wouldn't look like the way I said it has been. He is with DAZN now. Ruiz was a complete unknown on PBC before he went to DAZN and shocked the world. DSG hasn't been a draw anywhere or anytime he's fought except when Haymon threw him into all three of his losses(where he was the underdog for all three). That's more on DSG than anything else I've said there though. Mares only notable fights on PBC have been LSC twice and was gonna be fed to Davis. LSC was on under against nobodies his whole PBC career aside from the two Mares fights(MEX vs MEX). Then Haymon decided to sacrifice him to Davis. None of them made any progress in their careers at all. What I miss?

Now If Andy would have Knocked out AJ again.. Andy would have went after Wilders belt.. Right? Now by your logic, Haymon would have been feeding Andy to the dogs? I doubt Haymon specifically puts Hispanic fighters in fights to get beat, it just so happens those are the best they could get for the money. And Hispanic fighters bring a solid fan base. It's all about the numbers $$$. Haymon would be just as happy if the Hispanic fighters win, or maybe prefer the Hispanic fighters win. For example Haymon would probably profit more if either Mikey or Danny Garcia beats Spence. Just because maybe those Hispanic fighters might be easier to market and more lucrative. I think Haymon gives everybody a fair shake. Look at Caleb Plant. Look at Andy Ruiz, Arum had already given up on him. Haymon wisely saw that fatboy Ruiz had got robbed against Parker and was an elite heavyweight. Arum's trash turned into Haymon's treasure. David Benavidez another solid Latino career guided by Al Haymon.

Didn't see the point in that in that awful matchup, but to each their own. Hopefully he steps up next and fights somebody remotely competitive with him. Honestly don't really know what people see in Haney at all. He's a good fighter, when I see all those sparring videos of him beating up on white guys that look like they just put on gloves for the first time and his fights against the limited competition had so far, he doesn't look like anything special at all. We'll see going forward. He's still young and he's a "champion" so his time will come sooner than later.
