Pretty simple and not difficult to understand.. WBC has clarified this position NUMEROUS times.

Sulaiman pleading the fifth now that there's pressure on that situation. Man trying as much money as he can off of three of the brightest young stars in the sport. Lopez is the real champ bc he beat the real champ in Lomachenko.

Melanin boxers need to take a stand, from Whyte getting shafted outta his shot, to not forcing Wilder to fight his mandatory in Whyte, to the WBA making 24 hour deadlines that got in the way of the initial Joshua-Wilder negotiations, to the WBO skipping over Austin Trout an giving the title to Liam Smith, to the WBA turning the real champ at the time Machado into a fake champ for Tank and Leo eventually, to the WBC creating franchise status for a champ to avoid their mandatory (Canelo, Lomachenko & Teofimo ) and the WBC & WBA creating Gold, Silver, Diamond, interim, an Regular or Super belts to take more fees from fighters who risk their lives while these lazy slouches get richer!

If only legendary fighters of the past would do something about it, Rid**** Bowe, Michael Moore and Mike Tyson need to teach their fellow melanin contemporaries that belts should reverse leveraged on the sanctioning bodies!

What an oily used-car salesman Sulaiman is.

The mess they have created is that Lopez deserves to be undisputed and hold the full belt, but instead he has the nonsense belt and Haney has the full belt.

When they introduced the franchise belt it wasn't supposed to be something that could be won (I don't know what it was really supposed to be; I don't think they put too much thought into it). It is basically a paradox. The WBC has a belt for their champion. The one they say is the best. By definition there can only be one best. But they have multiple best fighters. This cannot be.

To resolve the situation they really have to retire the franchise belt and then decide if the real belt stays with Haney or somehow goes to Lopez.

They have created a farce through their bare-faced greed.

Then they need to take the historic WBC full belt from Haney and give it to Lopez.

The WBC has not had a clear champion at lightweight maybe since Adrien Broner beat Antonio Demarco in 2012.

A few years later, Jorge Linares was suppose to face Dejan Zlaticanin, due to a right-hand injury Linares was stripped and Zlaticanin was made full champ after beating sum jobbroni. Maurcio Sauliman, then made Linares 'champion in recess' and the WBC would sanction Anthony Crolla vs. Jorge Linares for a WBC 'Diamond' belt, and recognized said contest as a 'unification', whilst Zlaticanin was their official WBC lightweight champion.

That was a sign of things to come : then you had Mickey Garcia coming out of retirement to blast Dejan Zlaticanin for the WBC 135 strap, at the same time Jorge Linares had beat Anthony Crolla for the WBA and claimed the WBC lightweight 'Diamond' championship -- its like what is going on with Lopez-Haney at the moment.

The WBC kept promising the public that they would order Linares vs. Garcia, but Mickey had other plans and left the division.

So Sauliman is true to his word in this article, he is helping boxers make a lot of money, by fabricating world-championship matches, and obliviously helping himself in the progress. Mauricio clearly gives his reasons for diluting and devaluing world-titles, he is just helping poor kids become millionaires, like Devin Haney.

Lets be honest, the boxers/contenders would be wise to take Sauliman's path to riches and fame, the only one that should have an issue is Teofimo Lopez, because he is the lineal champion who has the strongest claim to the thrown, but he too cant complain considering he gladly accepted the 'Franchise' title and the perks that came with it.

This is not going away, the interested parties involve are getting rich and advancing their careers.
