Well deserved FOTY IMO in a year that was kind of lacking in great fights. This is one of the all-time classics, and maybe it'll take a few years to be recognized as such but it was an all out war that deserved the credit. Seems it's most boxing press's FOTY so cong**** to these two brave warriors and you could very well make a case for KOTY as well with that incredible KO of Baranchyk.

I dont know why people dismiss this as FOTY because of the 'low skill level'? they are both top 10 contenders ffs.

Dummies that know nothing about boxing and never been punched in the face before. This one wasn't even a question and coulda been KOOTY also. This fight was wild af from beginning to end. When a boxer meets a super-aggressive puncher, this type of stuff is bound to happen. Baranchyk was a former IBF champ and honestly felt Zepeda beat Ramirez for his belt at the time IMO. Hope there's a rematch with either guy at some point.

The fight was violent. The ending was violent.
