i say gifts because he landed less and didn't land ANY big shots, not one decisive punch where you were like damn that was huge. hopkins did. hopkins had taylor stunned and in complete cover up mode a few times in their first fight. taylor won a numbers game, not the fight, he didn't take anything away from the champ inside the ring. busier doesn't mean effective. hopkikns took taylors jab away, he had him fliching at every feint, landed better cleaner shots, and was calculated with his punches. hopkins only problem (at least to most taylor fans and the judges) was that hopkins was too economical with his punches and it cost him. a history lesson for hopkins that bit him in the ass twice, but as far as a fight was concerned hopkins i thought won.
and for winky to think that he won and not to give a rematch, i agree that he should go back and rematch taylor. i think that wright knows that taylor is only going to get better, that or he is trying to get more money(most likely the case) but as far as face is concerned he should fight taylor again.
tyalor is a hard worker and thats how he's won his last three fights. sometimes all you have to do is throw alot whether it lands or not, and you'll get the nod............
don't get me wrong i like taylor and i like to watch him fight, but i didn't see him beat up hopkins to win, i saw him lose one, a draw in the rematch, and a draw with wright. but he won all three, and they're all jotted down in history. and thats the way she goes.
