How the frack is any of this legal in 2020? How the frank can the people be defrauded into thinking and paying to watch a "world champion"?

This is what disgusts me day in day out with boxing. Corruption from the very top.

..and is obvious the WBC are triple dipping whilst also hedging their bets. How the hell can they be registered as a sporting organisation and allowed to operate.

They have come up with some many crap belts, any excuse.... They got a belt for it. Tyson vs Jones, got a belt for it, so on and on it goes.

It's obviously a money grab. The crime is that now we have the #1,#2 contenders masquerading as"champions".. and they're fine with that lol

So it's like 'hey if I give you a significant portion of my purse, you'll give me a belt and I can call myself a champion??"

Haney has the belt. It's a ridiculous situation. I can understand the interim thing as it's like a champ in waiting, it's still pointless though. But Teo is neither WBC champ nor undisputed lightweight champ. Calling Teo undisputed is like calling america "land of the free," it's just empty rhetoric.

Lopez don't want to fight anybody of significance anymore so just make the Haney vs Garcia fight 🥊

I won't complain. That's on these fighters. F all the belts and go after the best competition. Don't pay these fees for these mobsters!
If they did that, we'd know who the Champs are without the belts being involved.

When Jorge Linares fights Javier Fortuna for the WBC lightweight 'Diamond' belt, we got the title split into quarters. Thus, Devin Haney gets two mandatories back-to-back ( Assuming Sauliman is telling the truth ).

It seems to me that Mauricio is being forced to call for these matches, and as he explains in the article, the results justifies the creation of these dubious belts.

I do not support Maurcio's agenda, but lets be honest : if Sauliman does not promise 'Franchise-Interim-Diamond' belts, the contenders and promoters have less incentive to pursue meaningful fights ; winning a 'eliminator' for the WBC lightweight title, just does not sound as good as being called 'Interim-Diamond' champ.
