Hopefully he can stop shooting himself in the foot. He's KOed himself twice already. Nobody wanted to go after the WBC belt when he had it(including Canelo), so it shows what the guys at SMW think of him. Aside from Canelo, if Benavidez doesn't find a way to screw himself over again, nobody stands a chance against this him.

This guy needs to stay disciplined. He has so much potential. He missed out big on a unification with Plant.

I don`t think Benavidez has any chance against Bivol or Beterbiev.

So he goes from not being ranked by the WBC at 168 to being the Top challenger for the title (after Yildrim's fight I assume). It will be interesting to see what happens come March. If Canelo cannot get Plant or BJS in May then who does he fight? What does the WBC do? How long do they wait until forcing this fight to happen? If they force it for whatever reason, does Canelo accept Benavidez and take the fight or does he drop the belt again?

I'd like to see big punching prospect Edgar Berlanga fight Benavidez, that would be action packed.

Berlanga hasn't been tested yet, and I noticed his defence isn't that tight, but yes, he has some devastating power. If Benavidez struggles to make the weight, he'll have to fight at light heavy.
