Matchmakers for Bob Arum's Top Rank Inc. incrementally increased his level of opposition in the second half of last year, yet Berlanga beat all three of those boxers by first-round knockout to extend his highly...

Good choice. Berlanga is the Prospect of The Year in my book too. This youngster amply deserves all this recognition. All eyes are on him

Guess so. Hopefully, he steps up and fights somebody remotely threatening to him so we can actually see if he has some skills. Haven't learned anything about this guy except his ability to smash cans.

Is boots Ennis no longer considered a prospect? If so, he should be 1 or 2 on this list

Congratulations to Edgar Berlanga, on his being chosen as the BoxScene.com's 2020, prospect of the year. I also believe that he earned, and deserves the honor. In 2021, he'll be matched against progressively better opposition. This will allow him to learn, go rounds, and show case his boxing abilities, heart, and chin. He has to remember not to hit opponents on the tops of their heads. The tops of opponents heads are harder than than his fists. This will help him avoid further injury to his hands, and delays to his promising career. Here's looking forward to further success in 2021, and a championship in the 168, or 175, pounds division, in late 2021, or early 2022.

All these guys could start a scrap metal yard. Doesn't boxing matter anymore? KOs seem to be the only yardstick, regardless of quality.

He looks good on paper, but if he's to progress then he's gotta go global & with Uncle Bob's British connections that means the UK. Berlanga Vs John Ryder or Rocky Fielding would tells us more. If Fury/Joshua happens it would be nice to see him on the undercard.
