That's often a convenient excuse to avoid tough matchups. And I'm pretty sure that Ryan Garcia will get paid regardless. He could even negotiate to get more of the pot against Haney since he's the draw.

I'm all for fighters getting their money and it's not like anybody is gonna ask Garcia to fight Haney for peanuts. If Ryan can get the Tank fight then he should take it, and if he can't get Tank then I think Haney is a good alternative.

You missed the point. A big Tank fan was asking "Did GRJ offer Tank a fight?" My response is that Tank as champ should be making offers, not waiting to receive offers! Lastly, it's the WBA's job give Tank a mandatory, and order him to fight. If they don't do their job, then he can choose whomever! Hate the game, not the player!

I don't think Garcia is ducking Devin Haney. I do think that Haney represents a tricky matchup for all of those guys though.

For example, Davis is a devastating puncher but he would have to put himself in harm's way in order to close the distance against Ryan.

Teo likes to sit back and hunt for big counters so I could see a Lopez-Garcia becoming a tense chess match where neither guy wants to make a critical mistake.

Haney would box and look to score points though, and Ryan seems to be more concerned with doing damage than winning rounds.

Either way I would be happy to see any of those guys fight each other.

Exactly! I've never seen a PBC fighter call out Al Haymon like GRJ! He begged for LSC and Tank!
