I think Haney’s solid defense and quick hand speed will frustrate Garcia and beat him to a lopsided decision.

I never thought I would be in this position of defending Devin Haney. I was extremely disappointed he didn't fight GRJ instead of Gamboa! However, Teo doesn't want to fight him, Tank doesn't want to fight him, Loma doesn't want to fight him, and now Ryan Garcia doesn't want to fight him! All these guys want to fight Tank Davis! Somehow Tank is now on the level of Canelo and Pacquiao! This is insane! Seems the only guy who wants to fight Haney is Javier Fortuna!
He's Mayweather's protege, and that definitely adds prestige. Adrien Broner was being just as highly touted until he started getting beat up.

Haney vs Garcia is an easy fight to make. I think it only makes sense for Garcia to fight Haney before he fights Davis.

Bit odd this. I always thought it was the challenger/interim holder who sounded out the champion, not the other way round!

I think this insanity is far beyond what happened with Broner! Ryan Garcia has a direct path to the WBC title, he's the mandatory, and both fighters fight on DAZN, and he's willing to skip that opportunity to fight Tank for a secondary title @ 135! Teofimo Lopez could clear up the "Undisputed" question by fighting Haney, but he seems to be headed to fight Kambosos! Lomachenko could be pursuing a fight with the winner of Berchelt vs. Valdez for the WBC title @ 130! Both in-house fights! He'd rather Tank! Here we have the WBC Lightweight Champion, who they all call inexperienced and feather-fisted, but no one except Javier Fortuna (and GRJ) wants to fight him! BANANAS!

He aint pressing sheeit. He’ll wait another 4-5 years like they always do. He should fight Luke Cambell but he wont. Too much of a risk.

I would think Davis is a more dangerous opponent then Haney especially after seeing him get dropped .

Garcia obviously prefers to fight Tank for the much bigger $ and buzz....Tank by far the biggest name and fanbase...Haney cant draw flies to crap with his boring Rigo-esque” style....has zero hype/appeal.

Yes, something's wrong when a guy fights an elimination to become mandatory then doesn't want to fight the guy he's become mandatory to??!!

After seeing both Haney and the Tank beat Gamboa, i can say Haney is more difficult fight for Garcia...
