DALLAS--The only history of interest to Devin Haney is that type that doesn't repeat itself. Las Vegas' Haney was an interested ringside observer for Ryan Garcia's off-the-canvas 7th round knockout of England's Luke Campbell in their DAZN headliner at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Garcia picked up an interim version of the WBC lightweight title in the process, following a mandate from the sanctioning body calling for Saturday's winner to become the mandatory challenger for the World title.

I have a hard time seeing Garcia take this fight. On paper it makes sense to give him a world title fight next but chances are he loses to Haney in 1 sided uneventful fashion and loses his buzz.

So loma ducked haney when haney was his mandatory.

And now garcia dont even want his mandatory shot against haney

      Boxing is pathetic

I think it would be better for Garcia anyway to take this fight first if he can get the win. Get a title under his belt (although I think Haney beats him) then take on Davis.

Loma has beaten a current 5 year world champion, by his 7th fight became a 2 weight class champion, made a 2 weight class world champion quit on his stool, won his 3rd weight class title by his 12th fight, won another title in his 13th fight, won another title by his 15th fight.

            16 total fights
            Combined OPPONENT record
            446-39.

Care to know what Haney’s combined opponent record is as comparison?

            25 total fights
            1 made up fake title
            Combined opponent record
            324-158

No one and I mean no one is ducking Haney. Haney has eye skill test but was given a belt and literally has fought no one of note.

It's kinda like the chicken or the egg type thing, ain't it?

The WBC created this mess by making Lomachenko the "Franchise" Champion, so now it's their responsibility to clean it up! The parties involved should be ordered to negotiate within X amount of days, or purse bid follows. However, if Ryan Garcia really doesn't want it, then he should be removed from the rankings, and Haney vs. Fortuna should proceed!

I never thought I would be in this position of defending Devin Haney. I was extremely disappointed he didn't fight GRJ instead of Gamboa! However, Teo doesn't want to fight him, Tank doesn't want to fight him, Loma doesn't want to fight him, and now Ryan Garcia doesn't want to fight him! All these guys want to fight Tank Davis! Somehow Tank is now on the level of Canelo and Pacquiao! This is insane! Seems the only guy who wants to fight Haney is Javier Fortuna!

Devin Haney should come out to track #1 on Rick Ross's Teflom Don Album.

Haney and Garcia went back and forth on multiple amateur fights that were with head gear. Garcia does not want that smoke yet. That's why he prefers to fight Davis.
