dog...i know weve been over this...but...why do you deny what im about to say AGAIN?

schaeffer and haymon built those exact guys you are talking about...the ones that started "with oscar" were actually working with schaeffer and haymon...schaeffer was running things...lol.....why do you continue to gloss over that...."oscar" wasnt running the company and doing the work.....

well...to be fair...we dont know what might/could have happened with schaeffer and al if oscar didnt come in and blow the whole thing up...again...schaeffer was running golden boy and GB was flourishing through its partnership with al...if oscar didnt come and blow it up who knows what could have happened...oscar got crazy and then also forced schaeffer out of the game for a time....

lets face it...oscars company isnt all that great right now...they basically lost their face...their one need mover...and are now hoping ry and ortiz pan out and become big

schaeffer was also forced to sit out for some time because of oscar....i agree though..he prob thought hed come back and al would use him as a beard company

So why couldn't Schaeffer build anyone with Ringstar? Why hasn't Haymon developed anyone besides Tank?

The proof is in the pudding.

Meanwhile, despite losing almost his entire stable to PBC and losing Canelo as well, Oscar has Ryan Garcia and Vergil Ortiz poised to take off.

        He just keeps reloading.

because other than canelo he didnt have to devote alot of resources to other guys hence vergil and ry.....now imagine oscar had canelo and also had to fight fights for wilder, spence, thurman, danny, porter, russell jr the charlos etc.......and yes hes also been working with tank...and he has a few other young guys hes working with slowly

hes taken the guy hes brought with him from the golden boy days and done big things with them...he made wilder a very rich man without an AJ fight.....when his crop of stars start to fade off he will have a new crop....just watch....youre being delusional about it....oscar and al havent been in an identical position

oscar lost canelo and is now hinging his hopes on two very young guys....thats not a great position to be in...al has guys like colbert and vito and some others hell be bringing along....but al still has a crop of big named stars too...quite a few of them

It's nice to talk about the new crop of stars that Haymon is supposedly going to have. But I'm going to have to actually see some to believe he can produce.

              facts

              oscar

              canelo
              ortiz
              garcia

cept he doesnt have canelo anymore

              haymon

              wilder
              spence
              danny
              porter
              thurman
              charlo#1
              charlo#2
              tank
              plant
              benavidez
              i could go on

also have guys like colbert, vito, figueroa, stephen fulton, omar juarez, morrell jr, nery, joey spencer

lol@thinking having king ry and ortiz simply makes you some powerhouse who is incredible at building young talent...oscar has had alot more time and ability to push the guys like ortiz and ry because the rest of his cupboard is pretty barren

theres no guarantee any of als young guys become stars...but hes also not pushing them...he has real guys he needs cards for them to headline......oscar is pushing his guys because he needs them to become stars/household names ASAP......and you know what im saying makes complete sense and that als overall roster takes a dump on golden boys

Yes, Golden Boy isn’t in the best situation at this moment, way too many pariahs trying to rob their talent i.e. MTK Global/Rick Mirigian, Eddie Hearn/Eddy Reynoso. Yet, if this weekend was any indicator
Golden Boy Promotions knows how to built stars. The Ryan Garcia fight highlights on youtube is @ 5.4 mil views n about to pass Canelo’s last fight highlights in less than a day, anyway you slice it that’s impressive. Oscar definitely has a star in Garcia and as you mention I think they have a future ATG in Vergil the kid is something special. Hate to sound like a homer but Vergil has all the tools to rule the 147 lbs division for yrs to come his dedication and discipline are second to none and his power is unquestionable 16-0 and all by KO the Texan will soon be @ the top of the P4P list.

refer to my last two posts towards shoulder roll.....yes ry and vergil look good and i have no beef with them

but theyve devoted alot to pushing those two...because the rest of their roster is light...if they had the pbc roster of established names theyd have less resources to push ry and vergil because theyd have to find air time and cards for the others

im not knocking GB or those two kids....its just reality....al has had to find tons of fights/card and air time for alot of his named fighters and still try to move some of the younger guys

youll see...when als crop of stars dwindle and fade off due to old age youll see he has a young crop of guys waiting...al has a good reputation and hell be signing alot of young talent in the coming years

he simply doesnt have the time to push them all hard....when you look at how hes built tanks profile/buzz/name already you can see hes clearly capable when he can devote the resources......

oscar has the resources because he doesnt have to devote alot of them to much else at the moment

i think haymon did a great job developing spence. caleb plant is on the verge. plus there are a lot of young fighters there. but oscar has a good pipeline. you have to give him credit for how he always bounces back.
