Lomachenko started winning rounds as soon as he started throwing. He did not start throwing until about the 7th though.

He needed a KO, or at least a few KDs, to win the fight.

Again, I like the guy. I respect him for taking that fight when guys like Canelo won't risk their record against young hungry lions.
        This is boxing.

I can quote your posts from other threads and you sound completely different now.

I call out trolling. It has no place here. This thread alone deadened the Loma hate/trolling.

You’re young and have never boxed before. There’s nothing wrong with that. Take the opinions and experience of people in the game to heart and learn from them. Don’t fall into the ridiculous culture of today’s youth.

Yea Loma had his moments in the fight as do almost all fighters however these moments don't add up to a Victory. So yes you can point to this as a moral victory if you are looking for one but this cannot erase the lost.

I'm a huge Loma fan but Lopez edged it and this is definitely a rematch-worthy battle. If you are saying Lopez dominated the fight, you need your eyes checked

I just skimmed through every page of this thread and didn't see any Lopez highlight gifs... where they at? For a fight that Lopez won so convincingly as many have stated, I would imagine there would be a boat load of highlights and gifs, no?

Yes, we all know the story, Loma took the first half of the fight off, but I'm still waiting for the amazing work Lopez put in during that time.

Loma fought great rounds 7-11. But then took a brutal beating round 12, Teo landed over 50 punches that round. No p4p fighter should get pieced up like that, I don't care how many weight divisions you're climbing.
I think you are in error about the last round. I thought the same as you until a couple of weeks ago a guy posted the last rd in slo mo. Most of Lopez' punches either missed, were blocked or slid off Lomachenko's gloves, so forget about the "50".. Very few landed plumb. And Lomachenko connected with clean punches the whole round, and his defence was terrific. After seeing the slo mo, I changed my mind, because he won that round.

So Ward was at least on the right track with his "draw".

And I understand now why Lomachenko thought he'd won. He won the 2nd rd, and every rd from 7-12 inclusive with gives him a 7-5 win. So a draw was O.K.

I wish that guy would put his slo mo stuff back on a few more times until everyone has seen it. It was a complete revelation and surprise to me, as I thought Lopez was landing well, but actually, he wasn't hardly at all. It deserves a rematch at least.

i agree that Lopez won 7-5. I'm also a big Loma fan and was rooting for him.

I had Lopez winning the 12th. He bit down and acted like a champion. I scored it a draw but that last round easily could have won him the fight.

A true champion would immediately rematch. The only person I’ve seen as of recent.. immediately grant a rematch during such a close fight is Floyd. Both times when there was a questionable decision he IN THE RING said he’d do it again right away.

Lopez does not want to fight Loma again.
