Nice performance, for some reason I saw the knockdown coming. Luc was looking for that counter from the start. If Luc and his team felt that was there best chance, why not jump in and trade once the plan failed. Luc's only chance was to swing for the fence as Ryan was throwing and hope to land first and let the weight transfer om Ryan's side multiply the force of impact.

Ryan remined me of a young Spence style wize. Soaks up more punches than needed. Haney doesn't have the pop, but he has enough skill to chip away on the inside and pray that Ryan gasses out late. Tank wasted his career, skiils stagnated but still has power. Tank isn't gonna pull a Canelo and walk Ryan down easily. Height and reach disadvantage against a guy that has quick hands, and skills/technique that have not evolved. Tank definitly has a chance, but it would not be as easy as some think. Garcia has that 2nd and 3rd wind..

That said, Ryan would get Teofemoed and it would not be pretty. Teo is just as fast or slightly faster, better movement and hits hard.

BTW, Teo needs to smarten up with some of his comments. He's now a businessman and a boxer. 3 biggest paydays at 135 are Tank, Garcia & Haney. If 2 of those guys face each other, the looser won't be worth as much or be as appealling to fans if its PPV. Warm up with Haney, then go for the other 2. So 3 big paydays instead of 2 or 1. Then go up to 140 and do the same or better yet go to 147 and try and get the really big $ since 140 seems a little light on big $ names.

Campbell has become a bit of a gatekeeper though, if we are honest.

I’m not privy to abc stuff but it’s clear that the boxing world view Campbell as a winnable fight that will move them into land of ppv and titles.

Kind of surprised at all the shade being thrown at the guy for getting clipped and going down. I mean there are fighters who went undefeated for years and got dropped one time and never got up i.e Roy Jones Jr.

Not to mention De La Hoya had gotten dropped early, Trinidad got dropped a few times but the 1st was in his 15th fight against a relatively older guy who had 54 fights under his belt and only like 20 ko's so not a real puncher and Felix went down twice if I recall. And Wladimir Klitschko eventually became dominant as a heavyweight but a for while there I thought something was seriously wrong with the guy when Sanders ko'd him then a few fights later Brewster took him out though Klitscko said he was poisoned and then Williamson was beating his ass and dropping him when the cut happened and Vlad was gifted a decison. But he got right and was dominant for like 10-11 years.

Luke Campbell has decent enough pop with 16 wins by ko. Now do I have questions about Garcia's chin and technique sure. But this dude is good for the sport if he can sell and then there's that level of vulnerability and excitement behind it. Im.not saying Garcia is a worldbeater or even top 5 in his division but not many at lightweight would outsell him

I agree with this. Teo is doing too much talking. I dont know that he makes more money fighting Kamboses or Haney but Garcia and Tank are definitely big money fights. If he just has to settle for a 2 for 1 then fight Tank while Haney-Garcia fight for the right to challenge. But I think you're right theres only 1 maybe 2 fights at 140 for him. The winner of Taylor-Ramirez if and when it happens and maybe Mikey Garcia if Mikey comes back down 140.

It happens, Froch had a granite chin but still got caught and dropped with a massive shot by Groves. It’s how it affects you and what you do afterwards that matters.

This is something he needs to work on, every time he throws a right hand, he puts his chin down and his left hand drops. And because his feet are fully planted it makes it easy for you to counter him because he is right there in front of you. He definitely cannot do that against someone like Teo Lopez who has fought bigger and stronger guys at 135, and he is a big guy at 135.

That’s what impressed me about him. He was dropped hard. Others in his shoes would have folded. He didn’t and it looked like he was more upset with himself after that.
