i dislike him because he is a very overrated fighter . The guy has no chin and no defense and who rules a piss poor divsion . I am convinced that any of the abc champs of the eighties or nineties would beat klitschko.

Diego, don't use words like "nuthugger". It's unbecoming of a Classic brother.

I'm completely ambivalent regarding Little Klit.

I think he's the most talented heavyweight in the world right now, but he has some ever problems that he seems unwilling to address.

The first is his size. I don't know if he felt like he was in the shadow of Big Klit, who is a naturally bigger man, but Wlad put on too much muscle.
He won Gold at ~200 lbs, but is now lumbering around at ~240. That's more muscle mass than his body seems to be able to handle, at least judging by his endurance problems.
He is able to partially offset this by using his jab more, which I'm happy to see because I think he has the best HW jab since a prime Ray Mercer was sticking his telephone pole in people's faces.
While his jab alone can win him fights against an opponent willing to stay at the end of it, a skilled, aggressive fighter who is willing to take it and can work past it will kill him, either by forcing him to throw more punches than his body can handle, or by connecting hard and often with his questionable chin (which is at least partially due to his lack of stamina).

I think if Wlad got down around 220-225 he would have more endurance and become a more exciting fighter. The only problem would come in if his chin wasn't at all related to his stamina.

I like Klitschko, but he is rather inconsistent and his flaws keep him away from being one of my favorite fighters, but when he lives up to his potential he is very good. If that fight with Briggs actually does go through at Madison Square Garden, I will probably see it.

i sort of agree with this point. however, he seems to be countering it more as manny has him doing more sparring than weightlifting exercises. on that note, wladimir's stamina is extremely remarkable considering his size - 6' 1/2" and 245. yet he's as quick as many light heavies. that alone is amazing.

it will take a little bit of time for klitschko to get more comfortably readjusted to a slightly different style - mainly adding on skills to his defence and learning to control the inside fight better, which we got a preview of in the byrd rematch.

it should be noted well that the guy is just 30 years of age or so. if he fights until he is 36/37, and manages to lose maybe once, i would easily compare him to the greats.

seems like he's getting his old mentality back, and if he continues to improve as much as he has already, the sky is the limit.
