I dont see a path for Ennis unless he can just get Ugas, otherwise he's going to have to get to mandatory status.

Thurman wont fight him and Spence isnt looking that way either. A fight with DSG would be a great step up but I dont think Danny and Dad take that because his career would be over if he lost.

Realistically the next fights to make for Ennis should be guys like Kudratillo Abdukakhorov, Josesito Lopez, Custio Clayton, Sergey Lipinets, Rashidi Ellis. He makes those fights and beats those guys and he's definitely someone's mandatory if not just straight out awarded a belt. And honestly he could and should fight 3-4 of those guys in 2021. By the end and going into 2022 he wont be able to be denied.

I think Errol should follow suit like Canelo and Loma and become WBC franchise chanp so he's away from that mandatory and free to fight Ugas, Pacquiao, Crawford
We as fans should not encourage the Franchise Champion bullsh1t.

Other than that I agree with you that Ennis should work his way up the rankings and become a mandatory in order to force a title shot.

I agree I actually meant he would not should. But then again while I dont encourage it, in fact I think the fighters should ban together and boycott all the sanctioning bodies except one, if Canelo and Loma can do it then Spence can too. On top of that who really wants to see another Spence-Porter fight just because Porter spends time at the sanctioning body conventions campaigning for spots in the rankings

Rick Taylor why do I know that. Why do you know that? Let’s see it then clown.

But what you aren’t going to do is try to make Vergil Ortiz a boogie man so that he can avoid the fight. GTFOH with that hide-a-fighter BS. If Ennis beat him y’all would have billion excuses on the backend.

You could've been a match maker, because those are two interesting fights that should be made. As a matter of fact they should make the Boots fight first, if DSG gets past him. They should then make the J-rock fight immediately after, in Philly or where ever they can. If DSG can beat those to, he will be relevant again, and would qualify for a title shot against one of the 154 pound champion's.

He won't be able to demolish everyone, as power punchers through history have discovered. Thomas Hearns was devastating at welterweight, but there comes a time you come up against another great fighter. Brilliant boxers such as Leonard and Mayweather knew how to, for the most part, nullify the big power punchers.

Crawford or Spence vs Ennis, we want to see that.
I am a big fan of Ennis. He's the goods. But i don't view him as an overwhelming swarming power puncher. That's how your message seems to portray your thoughts.

Even for you guys who believe he might not be, or that he is untested. There's just some fighters that have the IT factor, and he has IT. Some of the commenters have listed a handful of guys that didn't pan out to reach their expected potentials..... well flip that coin and look at how many have! And the thing about boots, no one is saying he's the next great fighter! Hardly anyone knows him! This isn't Ryan Garcia popularity here. My point in mentioning this is because the only reason there is hype around him is because the few that DO know who he is, and have seen him, they've taken major notice of his ability. It stands out.

I agree the verdict is still out. But I take issue with those that claim a great young, undefeated fighter doesn't have it. Let the career unfold and we will see.

Hell yeah - this year should have some new faces at WW.

Ennis, Ortiz Jr., Yeleussinov -these guys look good, probably forgetting a couple others but those are standing out to me right now.

He's going to have the same issue Golovkin had; he will be the next generations most avoided fighter.
