  • Comments Thread For: Ennis: I'm Ready For Anybody In Top 5, Bring On Them Names And I'll Be Ready

Armed with 17 career knockouts in three rounds or less, Jaron Boots' Ennis is no stranger to quick nights at the office. This was not at all what he had in mind, however, for how things turned out in his latest ring appearance. The red-hot welterweight contender from Philadelphia saw a 16-fight knockout streak end after settling for a one-round No-Decision versus Chris van Heerden. A clash of heads left South Africa's van Heerden (28-2-1, 12KOs; 1ND) with a deep gash atop his forehead, forcing a stoppage at 2:39 of the opening round in their Showtime-televised bout earlier this month from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Put 'em on notice! Invest a little money, start posting "WANTED" signs all over Philly, Dallas, and Omaha! Start with your own backyard, Philly! DSG vs. Ennis, Wells Fargo Center! Let's Go!

Hahaha! Id like to see him touch up DSG, but I have a feeling Danny might be on the shelf for a bit.
I would also like to see Ennis vs Keef

How about beating Van Heerden first?

I’m just looking forward to see him fight

Someone that’s not dead already! We can’t be to quick to think he’s the next coming until we see him in with someone who’s going to touch him back. I think offensively he looks great, well conditioned and blessed with God given ability. Let’s go back a bit; Do y’all remember Tommy Ayers, Tony Montgomery, Tyrone Trice all seemed to have the goods fighting nobodies and when faced with Championship caliber opponents, failed big time. So let’s not get carried away; just yet!

Vergil Ortiz vs Boots Ennis - make it happen! Or either of those guys vs Rashid Ellis.

Exactly. UNFINISHED business, FAILED to get it done against a guy Spence already took out.

                The next Felix Verdejo.

Bronx224, you hit the nail on the head, DSG versus would be a great fight to watch. If DSG can't beat a young lion like Jaron Ennis, he should look to retire from boxing.

"Pass The Torch," or proceed to another title shot, right there in Philly! The whole city would be lit! DSG should choose between Boots or J-Rock in Philly!
