Need to earn the shot!! Which you haven't!! Haney should be embarrassed calling himself a CHAMPION! When he didn't even fight for the gift that CROOKED Saliaman handed to him! Haney was part of a tournament for the vacant WBC title after Mikey vacated (Teo was also in the tourney until he decided to "go in a different direction). Loma who wasn't even ranked by the WBC, petitioned to leapfrog Haney to fight Campbell for the vacant title. Since Haney was denied his title shot, the WBC had him fight for the Interim belt and the mandatory position. When Loma vacated instead fighting Haney, Devin was rightfully elevated to full champion.

What a joke of a statement that is. Fact is Haney never ever fought a champion for the belt he has. He won a vacant garbage title then elevated to full champion without fighting for it. That’s truly a joke. Haney likes to say the WBC franchise title that Lopez has isn’t real but Haney didn’t even beat the real champ to get the WBC belt he has now so his title isn’t real either.

But now he say if they fight it will iron out the real undisputed champ. Haney needs to fight a real opponent first if he wants a shot at Lopez. He doesn’t even have a credible opponent but he wants a chance to fight for the undisputed championship.

Loma was the champ, Lopez beat him, Haney was gifted his belt because the WBC is handing out meaningless belts. Haney is getting pimped by the WBC to hold a belt he never earned. That may sit right with you but I don't view Haney as a champ. He is basically the WBCs version of the WBA "regular" champ. A meaningless trinket is what Haney holds so the WBC takes a piece of the pie every time he fights.

Loma wasn't the champ because he VACATED the belt. HE was gifted the "franchise" designation after he vacated instead of fighting Haney.

Haney should have fought Fortuna instead of Gamboa in the first place. Devin hasnt been moved well and while he may be a better name and in terms of meaningless trinkets a beltholder, let them tell it Kamboses has all of Australia on lock and big fan based..whatever. But if Hearn believes in Haney that much then make Lopez a big offer for the fight simple as that.

Fortuna declined the fight when it was proposed because the Linaries fight was still on the table.

Why you worried about who Teofimo fights. He can fight whoever he wants as he has nothing to prove. He’s proved himself against top and he beat the top dog.

Haney needs to step up. He’s the one who needs top notch live bodies on his record.
