Some fans were happy w/ HBO’s demise, what if PBC fails? Same energy?

As far as sports production HBO was the best. But many fans criticized Lampley, Kellerman and Merchant.

What if PBC fails too. Is there need to rejoice, or “nah y’all just racist you just don’t want to see a successful (Haymon) not succeed.”

As if Haymon hadn’t succeeded with stealing to begin with...

I don't want them to fail, I don't want to see Haymon go out of business either.

I just want them to stop "playing chess" with their biggest money makers and try playing a bit of Boxing. I understand its a business but it's still a business built off sport.

I hope the PBC fans in here dont start playing dumb and pretending they don't know what I mean and plz don't get me wrong. Bob Arum has also been guilty of the same thing on a number of occasions and I wish the same from him and Top Rank.

People got upset that HBO changed.

They used to be about the fights. When the started singing guys to exclusive deals, they lost all objectivity and began to have their announce teams call fights in a biased way that showed clear favoritism. The quality of fights began to decrease as well.

That’s when most fans wanted them out.

There seems to be some posters that wanted pbc gone before they ever gave them a chance. I think those posters will rejoice if pbc fails.

I am just a fight fan who likes good fights and does not care who puts them on. I did not rejoice the end of HBO in boxing nor do i wish an end to PBC. I will let you worry about such BS.

Arum and Haymon love each other. They love antagonizing the fans with ducking talk. It builds up fights and generate tons of free publicity.

Listen to a PBC or DAZN broadcast and it's the exact same thing.

I want to see boxing succeed and have the best fights happen. All these companies have a run and then fizzle and maybe rise again. It all depends on the stable of fighters they have and if it can carry the network for a period of time.

PBC is not a network. It's a promotional company just like Top Rank. HBO is a network like Espn and Fox.

PBC is to Fox; Top Rank is to Espn.

HBO (and Showtime) was truly an umbrella network for the sport. But were restricted to premium ppv, limiting the exposure to mainstream viewers.

Espn, Fox, Dazn, made it possible for alot of fights to be affordable and mainstream.

Showtime is having trouble competing. But they love the sport. HBO management didn't care about the sport.
