Canelo has earned a keep busy, easy fight after the level of opponents that he has faced recently.

If the mandatory for Canelo was David Benavidez then Canelo would activate his franchise title and avoid the fight

Yeah, the Yildirim matchup in itself is pointless but it takes care of a lot of issues- makes up for the solo fight of 2020, takes care of the mandatory and allows him to give one back to the Mexican fans if he can do it in Guadalajara.

Look for BJS or Plant in May and then maybe GGG in fall 2021.

Kid can't even make the weight. If he was the mando and this is the weight Canelo stays at then I believe Canelo would do that fight. He has fought guys like Lara, GGG and Jacobs. He isn't ducking people thats for sure based on his resume. Yet like yourself, people gonna cry no matter what he does.

When they fight once or twice a year, people don’t tend too agree with you.

That’s a long rest between fights.

Otherwise he can squeeze these extra fights in.

When you’re earning the money he gets and fighting minimally, the fans expect you to fight top quality opponents

And to think had there not been the current state off the world/pandemic etc imagine how many tickets would have been sold to watch Alvarez fight whoever it is he is meant to in his own back yard would have sold out fairly easily..
