UFC isn’t a sport.

It’s an organisation with its own rankings.

Just like the WBC is an organisation with its own rankings.

UFC rankings don’t include any fighters outside of UFC. For example Mighty Mouse is clearly the best Flyweight in MMA. Yet UFC will tell you Figuieredo vs Benavidez is 1 vs 2. When in reality it isn’t.

UFC control the narrative with their rankings just like Bellator, ONE FC, WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO etc do, they’re not valid whatsoever.

That’s a fair point man. The UFC has some shockers too, they had that Cannonier as the #2 middleweight earlier this year. He was a gatekeeper at light heavy and based on beating a shot Anderson Silva they put him in the top 5 then raised him to #2 after beating Hermasson who’s only a fringe contender really.

I’m not trying to sh** on UFC or anything, I enjoy their product and I’m an MMA fan but I just don’t trust their rankings whatsoever. It’s purely agenda driven based on what’s gonna make the company money. The same way the ABC’s in boxing utilise their rankings to make money, whether they wanna admit it or not.

He beat Souza didn’t he but I just felt he got him at the right time.

I was gutted Till never got the chance to fight Hermasson in December, felt that would’ve been a good fight for him stylistically. I’m from Liverpool, so I root for Till.
