No I like Pacquiao but he has fought to many catch weight fights IMO. My two favorite fighters are Duran and Hearns. If hand wrapping isn't done by the rules it cheating. In the example I gave in NY they did not follow the rules. Bradley commented on stacking saying it helps the fighter punch harder. Its legal in Los Vegas but illegal most every where else in the US.

Of couse it makes a cast. When you put tape over gauze it compresses the gauze. There is no way around it . That is why there is no tape allowed on the knuckle portion of the glove by any jurisdiction. Each layer of tape compresses the gauze under it so over all the same amount of tape makes a more rigid wrap. The reason it's done that way is to provide more support to the wrist so it doesn't flex as much allowing the fighter to punch with less chance of injury to his wrist. It also allows more energy to be transferred to the other boxer because the wrist area doesn't flex as much. It's illegal in NY which brings us back to the point I was making. Canelo's team were told to remove the wraps and tape the hands in accordance with the rules. They stacked the tape again and had to redo the wrapping a second time. Clearly they knew that their preferred method of wrapping Canelo's hands was illegal because they were told but ignored the rules and the instructions of the officials. To me that says cheating isn't a problem for the Canelo camp. The problem in this case was a fighter and his camp willfully ignoring the rules in NY.
